Love the complex compound combos…I don’t mind repeating & building knowing I am thinking hard about what I’m doing…a solid connection. I’d suggest that one uses lighter / medium weights (10-12 lbs) for the entire session as it’s more about the flow than the individual exercises😀

when doing compound workouts, i find that the weight selection is difficult. For example i can use heavy weights for dead lifts, but not for the fly. So am i losing out on the dead lifts? like would i be better off doing isolated strength moves. THe other question I had for this workout, is you are repeating the first move 5 times but each other move is repeated less and less. What is the rationale for that? THank you so much for all your workouts.
Hi. For workouts with compound movements we tend to do more reps and not go too heavy. If you "lift heavier" at other times in your training routine, you are not missing out by using slightly lighter weights in workouts like this one. We strongly recommend varying the dumbbells you use for different workouts. Your muscle building and fat loss progress will hit a plateau if you keep doing the same type of workout and the only way to make consistent progress is by switching up your routine.
