    Can't wait for this one. I've had a miserable time fishing these last few weeks. Barely any hits on the SPs, still only new to them so unsure if its the cold weather or me being clueless.

    Finesse tactics,head wind and judging by those clouds a change in barometric pressure coupled with cold water and still pulled some cracking fish.

    G'day Starlo. Really enjoyed that video. I'm heading up the coast to one of your favourite tassie north east coast estuaries soon! What knot do you use for light braid to leader?

    • @StarloGetsReel

    Hey staro another great video, do u use scent for trout

    • @StarloGetsReel
      @StarloGetsReel  2 месяца назад +2

      Thanks! Yes I do, at least where I’m allowed to. Its legality in designated fly-and-lure only waters is a bit unclear, so I don’t use it in those.

    • @redtobertshateshandles
      @redtobertshateshandles 2 месяца назад +2

      @StarloGetsReel scent really isn't "bait" though. It's not the primary attractant. It's not even really tangible, except for the bottle of it.
      A photo of your lure would show no "bait".
      In a way I hate those rules and regulations.
      I suppose because my dad was a Lawyer.

    Starlo, have you ever used a Cheb rig? I’ve mostly switched to Chen and Texas rigs over Ned heads and conventional jig heads

    • @StarloGetsReel
      @StarloGetsReel  2 месяца назад

      I haven't used a specific cheb rig with all the right bits and pieces, but it fishes very similarly to the sinker-in-the-loop-knot weedless rig that I've used a lot up north on barra and saratoga and a little down south on bass, etc. It's definitely something I'll be doing more of, with a video to come at some stage.

    Great video Starlo !
    If you had to choose one soft plastic and one hardbody to catch a black bream , what would they be and what colour ?

    • @StarloGetsReel
      @StarloGetsReel  2 месяца назад +1

      @@jackmorris942 the softie is easy: an 80 or 100mm Squidgy Wriggler in Bloodworm! The hard-body is a bit tougher as it very much depends on water depth… and my favourites seem to change from season to season! That Atomic Crank I used in Part 1 of this Masterclass is deadly and versatile, as is the Jackall Chubby, but you’ll need both shallower running and deeper running hards to cover all options, as well as some surface lures (my current favourite is the Shimano Ligen) and some “critters” like Cranka Crabs and Muss’ Vibes… and so it begins… an ever-expanding collection! 🤣

    Hey starlo you should do a part 3 where you do harbody vs softplastics on the same day in the same areas and see which one comes out on top🤙

    • @StarloGetsReel
      @StarloGetsReel  2 месяца назад +1

      Yep. Probably need two anglers fishing side by side for a good comparison. I fished both styles in Part 1, but put more time in with the hard bodies. Over the longer run and across a range of scenarios, I'd be backing the soft plastics. ;)
