If you really check all the tranport info in Bangkok and have a good plan, you'll
go to any place without any hassle. Most Thai and tourist in Bangkok use the Sky Train (Bts) and Subway (Mrt) for travel around the city. It's convenient and cheaper than Tuk Tuk & Taxi meter. If you don't mind the time & price I recommend the Grab taxi which similar to Uber in America. Other than that we have a Bike taxi, Canal boat service and 3 lines of Chao Phraya River Express boat service every day which is very cheap and convenient as well. Hope you enjoy your stay in Thailand.

Literature only in open compartments means the back side of the seat there is a pocket and area where all the flight keep magzine and other reading stuff. Thats means you can't put any other personal stuff apart from the reading books and literature.
