    In my 50yrs. of running an End Dump the only real prob. loads are the inconsistent ones. Sand/flower, gravel/beans rocks/ears of corn are good loads. Big boulders/big pics of debris/tree debris can be a mother for sure!!

      I haul a quad. We only pick up and deliver scrap metal from scrap yards. 124,000+. Could be worse though.

    Great video Shane loved water views, I agree wake board and a wave runner, ooh it's party time. Are you guys hauling tonnage or by the hour. Curious because of the short hauls and many loads. Stay safe out there my friend and keep the videos coming and always travel safely catch you on the next one.

    Hello Shane. Finally, I see a trailer with only two axles in the Great White North. Did your windshield get that dirty after one load or did it start out that way at the yard? Have good days!

    What's the best way to go about hauling for someone as an owner operator? I'd be in a straight truck because I have a class A with a pintle hook restriction lol

    Shane in Canada are the flashing day time head lights a requirement

    • @itsallovernow2929
      @itsallovernow2929 2 года назад

      What are you talking about? We don't have flashing head lights of any kind other then high beam to low beam or vis versa.

    • @itsallovernow2929
      @itsallovernow2929 2 года назад +2

      I just saw what your talking about. Thats the camera that causes the flashing. It does it on the dash lights at times too.

    so....question for you - you run 4 axles with 3 down all the time - would it be more cost effective to have 3 axles up when running empty? less fuel, less wear and tear, or does the added cost of 3 pushers outweigh any savings - just curious.

    • @itsallovernow2929
      @itsallovernow2929 2 года назад +1

      I don't believe that's legal. I also run a quad end dump with the same set up but I only haul scrap metal.

      @@itsallovernow2929 I've seen b-trains in this area run empty with only one axle down on each trailer, that's what got me thinking about it.

      @@chrisetherington3968 trains are different then a quad 48 or 53. I know you can with a tandem. I worked for a company that used alot of quad vans so when they came across a great deal for a bunch, they jumped at it. Only to find out that the front and rear tires lifted which are not legal at all in Quebec which is where they mostly run. Different rules for different places. I think that even if it was legal to do so, by having it as a not permanent axle that the weights would be limited. I do know that in Ontario that tri-axles are no longer legal, they have to be tridems (all 3 axles must be permanently on the ground). Even with quads, it's not legal to be able to lift or lower the axle from the tractor, you must physically get out, walk to the box and manually lift them.
