Ahhhhh, the'70s in California, how much fun I had during those college and law school days! I actually listen ... occasionally .. to the Sirius station of the same name for those sailing in the sea of memories moods.... Cheers my brother!
This looks like a damn good drink. As soon as I read Yacht Rock I heard "Never be the Same" by Christopher Cross playing in my head. This is one of my favorite genres of music. I remember being in my dad's car and 106.7 Lite FM playing all those hit. Especially some of those Michael Bolton tracks.
"Never be the Same"? Damn, you found money in an old pair of pants with that song. Haven't heard that in years. Funny enough, "Sailing" from Christopher Cross is probably my fav Yacht Rock song. As for Michael Bolton, I'm a mega fan. He's incredible. Cheers my brother! 🍹
That color is awesome! Definitely need to give this a try! Oh, and I was a big fan of most of those songs you rattled off. LOL! Happy Friday Vino! Cheers
Like I want this drink and I love Jungle Birds, but can I say I'm more impressed to find out what Yacht Rock is and that I'm a fan of it? I love Baker Street!
First time viewer here sir, great looking cocktail. As for Yachat Rock song? Sorry, I don't know any, I listen to 2 types of music country and western. ( southern Okie )
This is fascinating. As each ingredient went in, I became more and more nervous, since I love things like smith & cross, campari, dark rum, but then the white vermouth and orange juice started in, and I was like "oh no, what will this taste like.." and then the creme de cacao came in! I was like "oh maaaan this sounds like such a twisted recipe!" I'm glad to hear you liked it though, makes me think I'll have to try this to see for myself! I always trust your judgement on the flavors. Cheers, Vino!!
The one thing that I struggle with when it comes to tiki is that the abundance of ingredients can often lose their individual flavor profiles and then you just end up with the flavor of "tiki". I think you know what that flavor is, more or less. Not a bad thing at all but I love when you can pick out ingredients in a cocktail. Cheers my friend!
What’s your favorite “Yacht Rock” song? 🛥️ 🍹☀️
who besides entitled pieces of shit like such music without out any artistic merit what so ever. Only thing worse is Nu Metal.
The description "hungry hungry algorithm" was when I decided to subscribe.
Ha! Thanks for helping me feed that hungry hungry algorithm. 😎

Ahhh, to be a fly on the wall of my buddy Andrew and his law school buddies. Ha! Good times, I bet. Cheers, my brother!
Great looking drink. Best yacht rock song has to be Seals & Crofts, Summer Breeze. I have that station on in my car.
"Summer Breeze" is a classic and one of my favs. I would probably pick "Sailing" from Christopher Cross as my fav. Cheers my friend! ✌🏾
