I believe I could use my battery tender plugged into wall outlet with alligator clips clamped on my battery terminals before disconnecting.. I have not tried it yet, but I believe it will work..

I felt even more confused after watching this video, all those steps, and the gadgets, could you simplify the procedures, it ain't rocket science to change a cat battery. your intention is good but your narrative, not so good
There are several methods for people with limited resources and necessity. Also a way to be certain of not to fail as backup.
Be professional people prefer not to reset all of the preexisting settings and that is if you get off easy. New cars often need more than a cheap scan tool to fix issues caused from battery removal.
