this looks almost exactly like legacy console edition. its crazy, I would've loved to have this when I was a kid

It's the best on the Wii so far but might be right on the edge of the wii's processing power. Hopefully the guy works on it again in the future.
Yup still needs work but is mind blowing to see on the Wii lol
He does plan to continue it but is taking a break due to him being tired of constant work on it
As a fellow gamedev/wiidev I totally understand and it's a complicated piece of code.

how is the wii even powerful enough for that. my older gaming pc can barely get by with 16 chunks on pc
Lots of people wonder the same thing haha
its a very opitmzed version of minecraft and its also beta 1.7.3 so more easier to run buts its still probably using most of the wii's processing power and java mc is not opitmzed
