Hi there, Liron here!
Today we'll learn why the BIG SHAPES matter quite a bit to the quality of the painting.
I'lls show you how I interpret the scene into simple big shapes, and the technique required to paint them.
Enjoy!

If only I could paint like that! I envy the way you did the walking man!!
Man ! everytime i watch your videos i end up learning something . Thanks a lot buddy .
So helpful, thank you so much Liron 😊.
You made is look like a walk in the park or a piece of cake … rather than cakewalk I think. When I try it later it will be a different thing.
I keep feeling the urge to do a paint along :)
Do it! 😁
Merci bien Liron. I like the sharpness, contrast between shapes.
Hey Liron. Love the way you did your figures. I get so tired of seeing most painters doing figures with peg legs. LOL!! Great demo!
Trying to avoid peg legs here! 😁😁
... Holy shit. Your channel looks incredible!
Great instructions. You are a good teacher so yes it was teachable. I enjoyed watching and thank you for this video. I have to say though that the lack of a roof on the taxi, with that big dark blob sitting on top of it, was distracting for me.
Very helpful, thank you! I’ve actually never painted like this, but see the uses and benefits of painting the large shapes first.
Very helpful Liron. Thank you.
Thanks Liron, very helpful 👍
Great video, Liron. Thanks!
This highlights the beauty of visual art. It's not just what the artist paints because there isn't a huge amount of detail here, really. The details are what the mind of the viewer fills in themselves. Art is like a relationship between the artist and the viewer. The artist guides the mind of the viewer to do the last 10% of the work to complete the painting. Other artistic avenues like photography and music don't really get to tap into this nearly as much.
Loved the tutorial.
I’m going to try this technique today! Thank you
Hey Liron! Thank you so much for your videos, they help a lot! I was wondering where you learned all that so my question is: is there a video that tells your story of becoming an artist and if not could you make one?
All the best to you 🎨
Liron, I agree with Anna. I would love to hear your story.
It is really wonderful to watch you paint and to admire what you create. It brings me a lot of joy and also a trigger to try new ways. What you do and how you teach helps me a lot and it is so important for me! Thank you a lot, Liron!
Wow Liron 🎉 it is very fascinating to see your second wash and how dark it is! And how nice it comes out! I have to dare to do that too 🫣
Thank you 😁😁 Haha gotta be courageous 😂😉
thanks for the info! excellent lesson.
Hey liron, I was into art for many years and during my transition from pastels to water colour I really struggled with the strokes of the brush and the optimal application of pressure. I still do sketches and pencil portraits, but finding your channel has given me new hope to restart my water colour journey. Thank you friend ☺️
Amazing to hear, keep it up! 😁🙏🏼
The value shape thing was a new concept for me. Thank you, I learned something today.
Wow, that turned out great, love how detailed it looks. And the overall is really nice.
Very good job,I much appreciate
I just love watching your videos, Liron. It's mesmerizing. I'm working on being able to draw and paint as well as you. I just began working with your course. Thank you for all you do.
Very, very, very nice. It's all good.
Great first wash, you’re my hero! 😂
Hi Liron! You have showed me how to work with the ‘mud’ in my paint pallet! My colors are much more organic and natural, love the journey!
Congrats!! 😁😁 Keep up the great work 💪🎨
Really good, good explanation good execution. I have a lot more practice to get anywhere close to this. thank you for your help.
Great pro tips!
Really cool, thanks Liron
Brilliant painting love watch it your skill paint keep going amazing work! 😄👍
Thank you so much!! 😊🙏🏼
Great and thank you very much Liron!
... by the way: nice brushes ;)
Escoda - but mine won’t work for me like LiRon’s!!!
Brilliant lesson LiRon!!! Thanks. Just shows also, that when you get the drawing right all else will follow. Well, for you anyway 😂
Liron, this is another of your great lessons! Thank you so much. Quick silly question....what size is your paper for this one?
Awesome video!!
Great as always bro thanks for sharing
Thnak you for such amazing tips
Thank you!!!
Thanks 😊
Awesome lesson!
This is such a helpful video, I need to practise this way of painting and move away from excessive details.
When you mentioned revisting the figure in the foreground to add more details, how do you decide what and how much to add more colour or details WITHOUT overworking? Once I focus on something like that, my tendency is to go into "runaway mode" and often end up spoiling the painting. Any helpful suggestions will be much appreciated.
Helloooo? Why are you so underrated????
Thank you 😁😁
I’d always prefer it to being overrated 🙏🏼😉
@@LironYan There's no overrating you sir
I'm new to watercolor and I'm so impressed and inspired by your work. Thank you!
well done very good i think i know the street is it marrakech ?
Very interesting. Where do I find the description?
Please tell me what brand of brushes you are using. 😊
Escoda! 🤩
Liron, when you say opaque are you talking thicker pigment or gouache?
Usually it's a combo of both (:
But for practical purposes - both are very similar! I use my gouache the same as my more opaque colors
It all sounds good but if you aren’t painting scenes with big shapes this is t going to work. I paint woodland brush and trees on steep side hills. No even plane of ground. Even the sky is not a big shape. I’m figuring it out but I’ve noticed that most watercolor artist do the easy thing. Choosing a scene that is easily painted. I don’t have any interest in such scenes, at least so far, though I keep my eye out for them in my area. Nothing appealing so far.
Check out my tree bark painting of you haven’t - almost bo big shapes in sight 😂😂 Was a real challenge
Liron, come to Islam and success.
