  • In this video you will see my savage method for pruning back tomato vines. These 3 varieties are grown in my Dutch bucket hydroponic system. The 3 three varities include Unknown, Costoluto Genovese, and Sun Sugar / Sungold Cherry Tomato.

    My apologies for yet another question tomato Guru. Do you now prefer keeping the water level lower in the bucket instead of the riser tube like you used to do?

      Yes I have removed the riser tube and it’s about the same level as the Uni seal

    I copied your setup, it’s going crazy. Here’s a heads up for people... don’t use 3” net cups. All my plants have had their roots completely fill them and water doesn’t pass through anymore. Drilling some drainage holes in the lids to allow overflow through.

      I have since switched to 6” net pot lids for 5 gal bucket
