There's a guy Robin Guthrie who does some great guitar ambient music. He also works with Harold Budd who in turn has worked with Eno. These guys, and now you are a big influence for me. And, ambient sleep music is a specialty of Robert Rich, another great ambient player, he uses synths and pedal steel. Do you know of these guys and who is your biggest influence?
For this kind of piece, Robert Fripp would be the influence with his use of long delays loops - "Frippertronics". Eno too, as he certainly did a lot with those techniques.
