I didn't see a man who make abuse of the Shopify metafields more than you! thank you for always providing us with free value 🙏❤️ I appreciate it and I always like your videos
Great video!! I've been searching a lot to get this to work, thank you for the clear and detailed video! I have one question, is it possible to put this into a collapsible row somehow?
It is possible, but would require some additional custom coding. You would also have to consider whether you want only the contents of the collapsible row to change, or the entire collapsible row itself. If you're interested in hiring us to build it out for you, then you can book a call with us at theprompted.co/hire-us
This customization was designed for the free Shopify themes like Dawn, Sense, Refresh, etc. Unfortunately, for third-party premium themes like Impulse it would require additional custom development. If you want to hire us for this, then you can contact us at theprompted.co/hire-us
Great suggestion! We actually take requests like this to upgrade our customizations in our newly created Skool group, and actually have tabbed variant descriptions already posted there. If you're interested you can check it out here: www.skool.com/the-prompted/about
Hi Prompted, super cool videos - VERY useful - Thanks for that, again 😉 This time, I'd like to ask if you'd be interested in looking at the videos on the product page. In addition to images, we can also upload a video to the product. What I find a bit frustrating is that the video doesn't have a function where we can choose whether the video should autoplay and loop as soon as the page loads. It would also be cool if the controls (i.e., when you hover over the video) could be toggled on and off. It would be great if we had these options on the product page, collection page, featured collection, etc. I hope you have the time and desire to tackle such a video 👏 Again - thanks for spending time on these videos that I can see many of us appreciate - You're awesome!
I have pages created and everything works. I am doing this for apparel size. Can this be implemented into the product template itself? meaning if by product has 's' size, it will automatically show the s size metafield page. Instead of manually going in each product and adding the page.
This is possible, but would require re-writing the code to handle this custom logic. Alternatively, if you have consistent variant options/names, then you could use a bulk updating tool like Hextom BPE to update all your product variants in bulk.
Is there any way that I list all my colors variant products separately, and in each product I mention all the color variant pickers as swatches and then use those swatches to go to each product which was listed separately? Like I open a black shirt and then there are all variants in it and when I click white from the variant picker, I will be moved to the white shirt which was listed separately.. I hope I am clear 😅😅😅 Actually I have seen this in an online store and want to adopt it if its possible 😊 Thanks
You can try using the customization that combines separate listings. This will create a color picker that looks like variants, but takes you to the listing of a different colored product. This way it will only show the relevant variants.
Hi, first of all, thank you for the great videos! I'm using a paid theme and couldn't find the code sections like "main-product-liquid." Is this not possible with paid themes?
This solution was designed for the Shopify developed themes like Dawn, Sense, Refresh, etc. For third party themes we would need to do a custom adaptation. If you’re interested in something like that and other conversion boosting insights, check out our free newsletter. Link in description
This is awesome. Thank you so much for sharing Can I ask if I can somehow use this code to show calculation based on variant metafield, on product page. Variant A Price = $100 Variant B Price = $50 Variant A variant.metafield.trims = $10 Variant B variant.metafield.trims = $4 When Variant A is selected, I want to show the message like: The total cost for this item with trim will be $110 When Variant A is selected, I want to show the message like: The total cost for this item with trim will be $54 Thank you in advance
This is certainly possible, but requires some custom development. You can get this to work by including your calculation in the code where the variant description is being rendered. Hope that helps! If you're still unsure how to go about it, then we can also hire us to do this customization for you. Just contact us at theprompted.co/hire-us
