Part II of 2 of this series was shot 1975-1977, an era of transition for Amtrak, with secondhand E8s in multiple 'phases' of Amtrak paint and full Penn Central jackets, hauling everyday Empire Service trains, the Lake Shore Limited, as well as the long-gone Niagara Rainbow.
The majority of this in Western New York, though we close it out on the old Boston & Albany, including crossing state lines for a short clip of former D&H PA4u No. 18 in MBTA commuter service. Subscribe today for a lot more coverage of the PAs in that service, "coming soon."
