The theif Vijay Mallya, was responsible for Air Deccan s downfall, he created obstacles for Air Deccan, using his political influence, Mr Gopinath concept of low cost airlines was really a successful venture, where a common man with lower income could travel in an Aircraft, Vijay Mallya took over AD and along with its his own Airline KF also doomed.
Proud to be Kannadiga, as legends like Mr Gopinath are borne here,

Not like that. Vijay Mallay's business suffered loss as there was general world economic crisis. Kingfisher airlines was also a good company. Mallaya has given jobs to lakhs of people. Industrialists are not as powerful as politicians

I was one of the first international Kannadiga travellers to fly his Airline to Sharjah airport from Bombay in 1980s. It was a most overbooked and miserable😮 flight to say the least - with long delays reminiscent of 1960s overloaded bus travel in rural districts of India.
