Another Gnarly Noosa Bar Episode. Sunday morning, April 30, 2023.

- The bar was still pumping this morning and a bit of a challenge for the first hour or so. Otherwise quite a nice morning here in Noosa with overcast conditions morphing to blue skies over low lying cloud. A light 3 to 5 knot south westerly breeze blowing at the river mouth. Only charter boats and jet skis heading out. A few small boats came down but all went home after watching the bigger boats cross. BOM forecast is for north to north westerly winds 10 to 15 knots turning west to south westerly in the morning. Winds tending variable about 10 knots in the afternoon, then tending west to southwesterly 10 to 15 knots in the late evening. Seas: Below 1 metre. Swell: Easterly 2 to 2.5 metres. Filmed between 6.20am and 7.35am which was about three hours after a 1.74m high tide. Background Music: 'Down The Street Blues'... by Unicorn Heads.

Nothing performs like a Cougar Cat, I worked at Cougar Cats in the 90's building a 27 and a 32 metre ferry,
the 32 metre did 48 knots in a two metre swell during the sea trials with only five of us up in the bridge and 34 knots
with 260 people on board, twin 16V149 Detroit behemoths with 4 turbos and 2 superchargers per engine,
1800hp @ 920rpm with a stupendous amount of torque.
