Many of the symbols for the old round canvases had a dark square with a white circle with the symbol inside. Because of the white, the old round canvases look lighter. They are not. I kinda think of them as like doing a mystery painting as the color fills in as you go. The new canvases did away with the white as guide circles, so the new canvases more closely resemble the finished piece. I enjoy watching the painting come to life on the old ones.
Hi Donna - you are totally right. I forgot about that. I'll just trust the process. The colors are beautiful and it does look like fun to work on ...so to be continued....
Remember the old round kits, the canvas did not quite match the color of original art until drills went down. We are spoiled now as blank canvas on rounds looks like original art. Old ones did not.
Definitely trust the process! My Bluebird Song by Chuck Pinson diamond painting canvas also looked pale (purchased in Nov 2020). However, once the drills were placed it looked gorgeous. My most favorite completed round diamond painting to date that I love to look at every day! ☺🌺
Lisette, your first reaction when you flipped the canvas right side up - was hysterical. I laughed so hard at your expression and how I pictured your face at that time. I haven’t laughed that hard in a while. She was super shocking for sure compared to the sticker picture. I love you and your non-poker face and non-poker voice. We are very similar with our transparency and honesty. Trusting the process is so hard sometimes !!! But sometimes, it’s necessary to keep our sanity. ❤
I actually have this one. I bought it and open mine as soon as I get them and I am usually just memorized by all the DAC canvases and excited when they show up (waiting for my 1st mystery one to be delivered today) but I NEVER pay that close attention to the rendering of the artwork, colors, etc the way that you have so I appreciate this review/unboxing. I think I will start to pay closer attention from this point on just to see if I get the results that are advertised initially in the pictured artwork. Love your videos and your voice!❤
OMG I laughed so hard when you turned that canvas over and your reaction, and it was my reaction too lol. I think on this one you will have to trust the process. Good Luck
Hi Lisette! I completely agree with you about the confusing symbols. I’m working on a canvas right now where the symbol for number seven is a lowercase T. And the symbol for number 10 is the number seven. That makes absolutely no sense! And I, too, pivot my canvas, so I get confused, fairly often by some of the symbols where they’ll have one arrow pointing left and one arrow pointing right or one arrow pointing up and one arrow pointing down, etc.
@@LisetteCraftsandTells I've heard, that they tend to avoid those things in newer kits, but I guess they won't change the older ones, even if they restock them. Looking at my newest purchase (released this January), I have to agree. It has only one arrow, one corner and all existing numbers are the same as the counter. In adition there is no 6 ( but it is 310, so the common 310 symbol) and no 9. I'm pretty sure they avoid those two for a reason or put only one of them in. Another newer Kit also avoids 6 and 9, with 9 being the 310... but there is one more. Ok, seems to be confirmed. There's a 9 but no 6 this time. So, they learned, but only recently. My kits from March 2022 don't follow those rules, yet.
This Is why I love the new way DAC is printing round canvases. No more white fill circles. The image looks so much closer to the finished version right out of the box now a days. Trust the process but remember that they print their stickers a lot darker than the canvases turn out.
First thoughts... Looking at the symbols on the sticker sheet, it looks like they used a lot of symbols with the white round guide circles... Looking at the drills, they look like darker shades of color. I think it'll look closer to the original art as you place drills, not as light as you're thinking. ☺️ Trust the process. The tender looks much better than arrival. 💛

I think I blocked it from my memory LOL...but you're totally right...okay - fingers crossed.
Very pretty Dp Lisette😊 Have fun doing this one 😜
Have a Good evening 🥰
🥰
Trust the process and cross your fingers Lisette. Good luck. ❤
Thanks Lisa - I will do that 🥰
Looking forward to seeing you work on this.
Thanks Ellen - I hope to be able to show some progress soon

Thanks for letting me know Melanie.
I’ve completed this one and loved the end product!
I'm so happy to hear that - thank you

Yep, it's a good thing I've never dreamt of becoming a professional poker player LOL
This one is pretty. It is on my wishlist. Thank you for sharing🥰🥰
Thanks Sylvia

Hi Patricia - I really don't understand why they keep doing that. So many people have said something....but okay....

Hi Jess, yes I agree and it really looks a lot better with the drills on it. I'm about halfway through and she's lovely.
I'll be interested in the way this one turns out. I'll be watching for progress. I am with you on AB's in the f e. You'll just need to see.
Let's trust the process...I'm quite happy with the mouth....
Ik begrijp je twijfel. De mond zag er wel mooi uit. Succes 👍
I completed her at the end of 2022 & she is gorgeous. I didn't include a pic because I don't want to ruin it for you.
Oh thanks so much for letting me know - That's really encouraging me.
Definitely show how this turns out.
I will
I look forward to the post review
Thanks Lori

I predict you will be happy with the finished canvas. Remember it is whimsical art not photography. 😉
You're right Marty - I'll try

Yes I agree- the rendering looks much better than arrival.
The mouth looks good, fingers crossed for the face.
Fingers crossed indeed
Interested to see how this turns out even though it’s not my style at all.
Hi Miranda - I totally get that. Thankfully she's turning out okay - I'm at the halfway point and happy with it so far.
@@LisetteCraftsandTells oh that’s good! ❤️❤️

I just wanted to ask whether you’ve been working on your Distracted Darlings canvas?
Hi Marty - Yes, I sure have and I love her....I'll show you the progress update next week in the monthly check-in
The drill snakes are never longer than 20 packages. So if you have 61 packs, then there will be one single one left.
Ahhh Thanks so much - that’s so cool to know 🥰🥰
@@LisetteCraftsandTells This rule is valid for DAC only, of course. Other companies may differ.
Trust the process. im sure it will come out fine.
Fingers crossed
I've seen it completed trust it use some extra abs on the hair, you'll love it
Thanks for the encouragement Joanna - fingers crossed
Wow, you really seem to not like this one. Why don't you de-stash it or give it away, and move on with your list?
No I can't - (my own set rules. I'm weird I know)....It will be fine I hope.
