Awesome build Robert! Fun to see the progress/process. Would love to see some more angles in the videos when you’re doing the test runs. Maybe some drive by angles so we get a feel for sound and speed!

It’s a work of art Bob, I do like some sexy fabrication, and that rear axle is very clever. Really enjoying the content and can’t wait to see where you go next.
Very very cool Robert. Incredible fab work, and good for you for pushing the limits of physics on these karts... like reeeally pushing the limits haha. Great post!
You're about the coolest person on the planet! I am attempting to build my version of an airsled, much like the old snowplanes/aerosleds and so on. I have my frame already built and am now working on fitting it out with suspension, steering and fitment of 16hp engine with 44" prop. I still think a pulse jet engine would be neat for my setup.
J'adore vos vidéo avec un petit grain de folie. 🤩 Qui fait plaisir à voir. 🤩 Amusez-vous bien, et au plaisir de vous revoir, dans d'autres vidéo..🌎 bonjour de France 🌏
Outstanding engineering sir. 👍 I don't know if I missed it in one of your videos, but I'd love to know the trajectory data of your runs...speed, etc. Thanks!
It would take NASA engineers 3 years and 50 million dollars to come up with this because they would do it all on paper 50 times before building it. Only to find it doesn't work. This man made a thing and then found what it needed and made it better, many times over. This is how it should be.
10 years and $500 million! 10 engineers to design it. 150 employees (3 in each state) to build it. And 40 managers to have teleconferences every day looking at the ‘dashboard’ on their computers to make sure it’s all conforming to the mission statement. Before they could fire it up, there would be a 3 year-long environmental assessment that would then determine it’s unacceptably harmful to microscopic brine shrimp and the whole thing cancelled.
So is it just the brake disks keeping those rear axles in place horizontally? Guessing that must be a lot of sideways stress on the disks when turning. Do the axles just slide out of the frame & bearings, if the brakes weren't there?
What a great engineer you are! I hope you get the money you deserve to do this until the day you pass, then you can ride this machine right through the pearly gates
Yea, Aluminum is the best option really thermal friendly. I wondered if you needed some fins on the heat shield but it looks like the required footprint is so large it difuses the heat without much of a need for additional engineering. I suspect that engine will produce enough speed to be dangerous so the stout frame is good. Excellent engineering.
Hey Bob, are those engines out of mild steel or blasted stainless? When I was working for Gene Gluhareff, all of our G8-2s were 321SS. What is your experience on the longevity of 304SS? Does 321SS actually last any longer when cycled? I see a lot of pulse jets being built out of mild steel and figure they can't last too long.
You have such wonderful craftsmanship your cart is amazing and your shop is beautiful too such a clean shop and you’re really awesome building used engines I wish I could do it thank you again for your entertainment
Love your work and thanks for the very informative walk round. At the start where you were pointing to where the top 2 combustion chambers are fitted together is that weld cracked along that seam?
This is so cool; I'm amazed that, although there are obviously many refinements and a lot of trials and error, the fundamentals are fairly simple - it's knowing how much of what, when, or so it seems. Have you tried different bell shapes for the exhausts, or would that make no appreciable difference?
Ok the rocket is cool, but him "screaming-//happy" is RADNESS. We need him "mic'd up" better so we can live vicariously through him!!!!! I need seven of these dammat!!!!!

Three months ago, I watched you having fun with this Jet Kart in the desert. And life was never quite the same again....
Thanks Bob for showing your work. It's always nice to see active seniors engaged.
Excellent work Robert, its clear a lot of hard Yakka has gone into the build, cant wait to see the beast fly, love you Robert.
Your voice, my humble friend, sounds like 35 year old. Big hugs from bohemian forest. It’s fun to enjoy reality with you.
Love all your creations by far, i can't believe this guy sound like he was in late 20s

You’ve really got the engineering down for these pulse jets. Well done sir.
Legendary amazing engineering worthy of views by millions .

Robert thats a masterpiece. The last kart I built was in the living room. A 1961 Go Kart 800 with twin 100cc Macs. Super cool video.
Between you and Allen Millyard a pair of engineering geniuses, and the world is a better place! Make sure you get that patent!

How do you keep the split axles from pulling out the bearings?
You mean like why don’t the axles part ways and split from the whole cart? Must be some sort of keeper in there he forgot to point out.
