Great review. I've been looking for a single gimbal for my S23 Ultra and Canon 90D. I think this might be the one.
I put a call out to hohem and they said there was a typo on the mt2 spec sheet the roll and tilt range are exactly the same as the m6. I also mentioned that it would be nice to have on the the mt2 where you can hit the trigger 4 times to do the same thing as the m6 did by putting the motor and arm essentially to where the mt2 is initially, but on the mt2 it will switch the arm and motor to the front like how the m6 is initially not in wide angle mode. Specifically for people who are using the mt2 with a smartphone and would like to have full use of the phone and screen without being obstructed. They said it was something that was overlooked and will try to get it into the upcoming firmware update.
So the mt2 doesn’t have the 4 times trigger function?

No issue, you just have to pull it out slightly and ensure that you balance the gimbal with both the phone and mic attached. 👊🏽

Do you think AI tracking is useful for orbit/panning style shoots? (I have no need for any other use cases of tracking) Moving in semicircle around the subject keeping it in the middle of the frame.
Mostly I would like to know if the tracking is smooth enough (I've seen videos of generic tracking usage where the gimbal moves way to fast left and right) and if it can help in this kind of shoots or I should not choose a gimbal based on AI tracking only (again for my particular case)
I really don’t think you should rely on ai tracking for this kind of smooth movement.
I recommend that you practice proper form and movement for this kind of shot. Also, make sure you use the correct gimbal mode. I find that lock mode is great for static orbit shots, but it takes a lot of practice with your footwork.

Hey man, love the video. Hope youre doing well. I have a 90D as well, was wondering how the integration is with the gimbal. Can you control zoom/focus/start/stop via bluetooth on the gimbal? Cheers
Hey, there are a few integration wires in the box. I was able to use one of them to control the record button (start/stop), but that was about it. I can't comment on the zoom wheel as the lens for this setup is a prime lens.
I believe the zoom wheel only works with the Hohem app when connected to a smartphone.

Also, did you test it out with any other lenses on the 90D? I have a 50 mm and zoom lens as well. Wondering if those will work. Id assume the 50 mm would
@@robbiej0116 yeah I tested with the 50mm prime is was also great. My zoom lenses are way to heavy for this gimbal. 👊🏽

There are various mounting points to mount a mic. 👊🏽
The ai tracking thing is the main special part.( And worth the price ) Everything else is the same as any small gumbal. Ex crane m3 user here☺️
