The chemistry between Robin Straser as Dorian and Erika Slezak as Viki was always off the charts. The second longest soap character rivalry after Jill and Katherine on the Young and the Restless.
This storyline aired around the same time that _Days of Our Lives_ had Deidre Hall portraying _"Dr. Marlena Evans"_ possession by the devil. The scene where _"Tommy"_ emerges and chases after _"Dorian"_ in her house was so shocking (at the time) I found myself thinking "YIKES! I thought the possession story was on _Days_ not _One Life!"_ *"Playing Viki can be quite a strain..."* still slays! Her scenes with Tuc Watkins as _"David Vickers"_ were Emmy caliber as well! VIKI: "YOU WEPT OVER FATHER'S WATCH! What laugh you must have had behind our backs'-" DAVID: "No..." VIKI: "You didn't want a dime! Why would you? All you had to do was sit back and wait, then you could go get your nifty little secret inheritance!" DAVID: "Viki, you are making this sound so much worse than it is..." VIKI: [Literally hopping mad!] *"HOW?!* DAVID, HOW IN GOD'S NAME COULD IT GET ANY WORSE?! You are still lying to me! THIS ENTIRE HOUSE OF CARDS YOU HAVE BUILT FOR YOURSELF, HAS FALLEN DOWN AROUND ME- HOWEVER, YOU ARE STILL LYING! Still saying you didn't know anything about the money! Dorian knew it all along!"
Wow just noticed that at the 3:11 mark on the previous video with Jean and Dorian and here at the 2:48 mark, its exactly the same!! this must have been a habit during those times of filming. They would reuse some scenes over and over!
She cannot abide "Viki's" emotionality. It makes her weak, as far as "Jean" is concerned, so that aspect of "Viki" is very tiresome (or _exhausting,_ to be more specific) to her.
After "Jean" forced "Dorian" to call "Cassie" from a mobile phone, "Cassie" mentioned the call to _"Jean/Viki"_ and said that the police could tell that the call came from somewhere in Llanview, so "Jean's" story about "Dorian" being in Spain with "David" had fallen apart. She had to come up with a new plan...
