So RUclips decided to kill this video by age restricting it and limiting the ads. Very disappointing. 2/3 of my last videos have been either limited ads or completely age restricted. @@tuelzalt I wouldn't say it's *that* simple. On average he was getting 4-7m views prior to the Chris video, and now he's at a little over 2-4m per video even after recovering his subscribers. I'm assumin because people wanted to jump on the bandwagon against the cancelation but didn't want to put in the effort of actually watching his videos after. He didn't make use of the visibility, he didn't try to back track publicly, he didn't even pivot to a different niche. Instead of going out with a *bang* like most of the people he covered, he instead decided to go out with a whimper, which might be respectable in its own way since he's not gambling on becoming a lolcow, but he's still resigning himself to becoming a minor footnote in yt history like good chunk of other yearly macroniche youtubers. It kinda reminds me of the survivorship bias plane diagram. Sure, he's not following in the footsteps of most of the channels he's studied, however he didn't take into account the other actions (or lack thereof) from channels that metaphorically get hit in places they cannot/refuse to recover from, so much so that not even people like Sunny himself make video essays after the fact; The Adam Blampieds, Chris Inghams and ReSets of the site.
imo the reason he's getting less views is the topics themselves as he's covered most of the major acts on the internet already. also he has way more channels that use his style now to take the views. I stopped watching him around the time he did like 3 Joe Rogan videos in a short span. It got boring tbh which was around the time the chris video came out. Alot of his recent videos i just checked his channel was covered heavy by other channels already recently also. Channels like his always grow really fast then stop cus it runs out of viral ppl to talk about in the internet space then they try and talk about ppl outside of it like music or actors and the views drop. I noticed that with alot of channels like his. He wont get to a Penguinz0 level because hes a personality and has a fan base. Sunny doesnt have a fan base and the channel is kindof souless. Apart from breaking the youtube algorithm, Sunnyv2 can now control and completely shift the fate of whole youtube channels with big audiences. Edit: To the people replying, in one of Sunny's videos (I think now deleted video) about girls allegedly being groomed by some youtuber _(they really weren't they were clearly on to something with him and were voluntarily sending stuff to him and even admitted to it),_ he didn't even censor their names on social media, leading to them receiving tons of messages from angry Sunny viewers threatening them. After the badly made video, the damage was done and possibly unrepairable. One badly made video can do a lot of damage to one's reputation.
Belle Delphine came out winning, got rich and decided to leave , as she said she would do. She did not need RUclips anymore so does not need to post or bother much with it.
You should have covered Skeppy as a victim of Sunnyv2. He had his fanbase turned against him, and one of the evidence Sunnyv2 had shown was Skeppy didn't buy 100 pizza boxes.

Skeppy was accused by Sunny of milking Technoblade's death iirc, and that did not sit well with me, that Sunny would say that, merely I think a week after the news
And even better was that Skeppy made a response video edited like one of his normal videos. (And if you're familiar with Skeppy, it's pretty high-energy and chaotic.) Even though he has a team of editors, he personally edited that one. That was probably the best clapback I've seen on the platform.
I feel like compared to other commentary channels SunnyV2 just seems to discuss the surface level stuff and tend to use internet comments and other stuff with his statements rather than doing a deep dive on them showing the humanity aspect of the person like with Jaubrey and Turkey Tom

Honestly, Belle was a pretty interesting online persona for a while, teases her fanbase by having them expect even more explicit content, says she'll be doing p*rn, which garnered even more attention. Once she actually did it, the video leaked everywhere and her fanbase decreased overtime. The interesting, mysterious and teasing nature of her content was gone because of that one video.

sunny isn't fully right about addiction - you don't necessarily need a higher purpose to quit but you absolutely can choose to get sober because that's what you want.
I think what Sunny was trying to say was people need to have a reason to quit whether it's drugs or alchohol. Because if they think there is no reason to stop, they would just keep going. But I understand what you're saying about choices.
Nah, dude. Most people quit dr*gs and alc*h*l successfully because THEY chose to. That’s why rehabs aren’t super successful. Sure some people do find a “higher purpose” to make them quit, but a lot of people just want to get clean and have the resources/support to do so. And some people really just can’t quit because the addiction is just that strong. I'd say he was fully wrong, in fairness. He was basically saying "Get addicted to something else." which is frankly pretty disgusting "advice" to be giving to someone he perceives to have an issue with addictions. Personally, I think that Blade seems a PoS but *_if_* his actions are purely down to substance abuse issues then the advice would to be to recognise it's an issue and work on bettering himself. 3:27 don’t know Sunny but I KNOW he’s not a recovering addict by this sentiment. You don’t need a purpose. You need the willpower. You need to want it more than anything. You need to be DONE with the drugs and alcohol. Saying shit like this is dangerous because ppl who may feel like they don’t have a purpose may find it futile.
Willpower, therapy and actually wanting to stop. Smoking, alcohol, drugs, self harm. They're all different but they all follow the same recovery. It took me 5 years of trying to quit, pushing through every relapse and I'm a month shy of being 2 years clean from harm and while I'm currently closest to relapsing since I was 6 months in (medication induced mania/mixed episode almost caught me then), I've made it this far and no longer have to hide my body or feel that shame again so using this willpower I've built, I refuse to relapse. The second year has been effortless until now and I'm not changing that.
Willpower can come with a purpose, if you don't have a purpose to do things for willpower can only get you so far until you fall again and relapse. It's not the end all be all, I agree. But both have their value. It wholly depend as well as to what the reason for the addiction is too.
Might just be my experience but people I know just want to get clean and rejoin society. I hate when people say there has to be a purpose for people to get clean for a reason that you mentioned, why are they using? Someone who’s drinking bc they were m*lested by a priest is going to have a harder time quitting than a person who’s self medicating for their bpd (provided they have access to the proper resources). The other problem is that people don’t have the resources needed to quit. I just think saying you need willpower spits on people who are using bc of tr*uma or lack resources. It’s like making someone with mdd and su*c*dal ideation to live in a house full of weapons and no medicine. Well all they need is willpower, right?
Honestly if you look at the results of internet drama. It seems the best action (Unless its really really big allegations) is always just to not react to it at all as a creator and it will die down. Of course thats not always the case but if you compare the results of most responses and the creators that didnt respond, the no response results seem to turn out better most of the time

Sometimes not responding looks pretty bad, but what looks even worse is the wrong response. Let's be honest, if you're responding in the form of an off-the-cuff youtube video there's a good chance you'll accidentally dig that hole deeper by saying something else controversial in the course of trying to defend yourself, even if you're in the right. Better to stay quiet, at least initially, and if you really need to respond then you've gotta take the time to put your thoughts together before responding. Makes perfect sense. He can ignore this because people come to SunnyV2 for the tragedy and downfall of other RUclipsrs. You don’t come there for him. It easy to walk away from drama when you’re barely apart of it. Other RUclipsrs have such large egos and personas that they can’t help but feed the drama. But Sunny’s persona is just a single profile pic and his voice. Dude’s smart to just walk away. Though seeing that video, it did really turn me off his videos. Made me feel like he has specific narratives he wanted to push instead of just telling a timeline of events and understanding them.

@@balegda idk, I don’t listen to podcasts, so I’m unfamiliar with whatever Charlie says on it, I just watch his videos, and I know he’s reacted to a lot of Sunny’s vids, and usually agrees with his POV, and many times adds to it, so I just assumed they were friends or at least had mutual respect for one another, Charlie comes out with a video, calling many of these people on this list out, for accurate and factual reasons, not taking shots and being well spoken, then shortly after within a few weeks to months, Sunny makes a video on that person, citing many of the arguments Charlie makes, just in a less spoken and more opinionated way, which sometimes comes off as harsh, but I respect it nonetheless. It’s like they react to each other, Charlie makes a video on a person, Sunny follows it citing many of the same points, then someone in Moistcritikal’s livestreams have him react to Sunny’s video, it’s a weird dynamic but that’s why I assumed they were cool.

I remember watching a couple videos of SunnyV2 but ultimately staying clear of his content because, to me, his videos screamed "I am feigning unbiased neutrality and objectivity but I'm really just pushing my own personal narrative". Funnily enough this video suffers from the same issue mentioned at 15:47 where the videos content is only based around a tasty title + thumbnail combination, as the only situation worth mentioning here is the one with Kris Tyson. imo the reason he's getting less views is the topics themselves as he's covered most of the major acts on the internet already. also he has way more channels that use his style now to take the views. I stopped watching him around the time he did like 3 Joe Rogan videos in a short span. It got boring tbh which was around the time the chris video came out. Alot of his recent videos i just checked his channel was covered heavy by other channels already recently also. Channels like his always grow really fast then stop cus it runs out of viral ppl to talk about in the internet space then they try and talk about ppl outside of it like music or actors and the views drop. Edit: To the people replying, in one of Sunny's videos (I think now deleted video) about girls allegedly being groomed by some youtuber _(they really weren't they were clearly on to something with him and were voluntarily sending stuff to him and even admitted to it),_ he didn't even censor their names on social media, leading to them receiving tons of messages from angry Sunny viewers threatening them. After the badly made video, the damage was done and possibly unrepairable. One badly made video can do a lot of damage to one's reputation.

Honestly, Belle was a pretty interesting online persona for a while, teases her fanbase by having them expect even more explicit content, says she'll be doing p*rn, which garnered even more attention. Once she actually did it, the video leaked everywhere and her fanbase decreased overtime. The interesting, mysterious and teasing nature of her content was gone because of that one video.
Her porn was disgusting, she sexualises kids and wore a kid-like bathing suit in one of her videos. In another one, she was taken to a forest and was 'raped' in the video. Absolutely disgusting, and I'm shocked nobody points this out about her.

sunny isn't fully right about addiction - you don't necessarily need a higher purpose to quit but you absolutely can choose to get sober because that's what you want.
I think what Sunny was trying to say was people need to have a reason to quit whether it's drugs or alchohol. Because if they think there is no reason to stop, they would just keep going. But I understand what you're saying about choices.
Nah, dude. Most people quit dr*gs and alc*h*l successfully because THEY chose to. That’s why rehabs aren’t super successful. Sure some people do find a “higher purpose” to make them quit, but a lot of people just want to get clean and have the resources/support to do so. And some people really just can’t quit because the addiction is just that strong. Saying that people need a higher purpose is so disrespectful to people who just want to get clean and rejoin society and all but spits on those who want to get clean but lack the resources to do so

He was basically saying "Get addicted to something else." which is frankly pretty disgusting "advice" to be giving to someone he perceives to have an issue with addictions. Personally, I think that Blade seems a PoS but *_if_* his actions are purely down to substance abuse issues then the advice would to be to recognise it's an issue and work on bettering himself. As I said, Sunny was basically saying to become addicted to something else which wouldn't help him at all.

Anyway, I think the best way to look at Sunny’s videos is to take it with a grain of salt and see as his own opinion rather than the truth.

3:27 don’t know Sunny but I KNOW he’s not a recovering addict by this sentiment. You don’t need a purpose. You need the willpower. You need to want it more than anything. You need to be DONE with the drugs and alcohol. Saying shit like this is dangerous because ppl who may feel like they don’t have a purpose may find it futile.
Willpower, therapy and actually wanting to stop. Smoking, alcohol, drugs, self harm. They're all different but they all follow the same recovery. It took me 5 years of trying to quit, pushing through every relapse and I'm a month shy of being 2 years clean from harm and while I'm currently closest to relapsing since I was 6 months in (medication induced mania/mixed episode almost caught me then), I've made it this far and no longer have to hide my body or feel that shame again so using this willpower I've built, I refuse to relapse. The second year has been effortless until now and I'm not changing that.
Willpower can come with a purpose, if you don't have a purpose to do things for willpower can only get you so far until you fall again and relapse. It's not the end all be all, I agree. But both have their value.
It wholly depend as well as to what the reason for the addiction is too.
Might just be my experience but people I know just want to get clean and rejoin society. I hate when people say there has to be a purpose for people to get clean for a reason that you mentioned, why are they using? Someone who’s drinking bc they were m*lested by a priest is going to have a harder time quitting than a person who’s self medicating for their bpd (provided they have access to the proper resources). The other problem is that people don’t have the resources needed to quit. I just think saying you need willpower spits on people who are using bc of tr*uma or lack resources. It’s like making someone with mdd and su*c*dal ideation to live in a house full of weapons and no medicine. Well all they need is willpower, right?

I honestly never thought I would see this video by the Internet Anarchist of all people.
Honestly if you look at the results of internet drama. It seems the best action (Unless its really really big allegations) is always just to not react to it at all as a creator and it will die down. Of course thats not always the case but if you compare the results of most responses and the creators that didnt respond, the no response results seem to turn out better most of the time
especially since all that happened is he lost a paltry 10K in sub-count, and has long-since recovered that loss. At that point, if people still kept bringing it up, they'd largely find themselves yelling into the void.
Sometimes not responding looks pretty bad, but what looks even worse is the wrong response. Let's be honest, if you're responding in the form of an off-the-cuff youtube video there's a good chance you'll accidentally dig that hole deeper by saying something else controversial in the course of trying to defend yourself, even if you're in the right. Better to stay quiet, at least initially, and if you really need to respond then you've gotta take the time to put your thoughts together before responding. Trying to reason with an angry internet mob is like trying to defuse a bomb - one slip up and everything explodes.

@@balegda idk, I don’t listen to podcasts, so I’m unfamiliar with whatever Charlie says on it, I just watch his videos, and I know he’s reacted to a lot of Sunny’s vids, and usually agrees with his POV, and many times adds to it, so I just assumed they were friends or at least had mutual respect for one another, Charlie comes out with a video, calling many of these people on this list out, for accurate and factual reasons, not taking shots and being well spoken, then shortly after within a few weeks to months, Sunny makes a video on that person, citing many of the arguments Charlie makes, just in a less spoken and more opinionated way, which sometimes comes off as harsh, but I respect it nonetheless. It’s like they react to each other, Charlie makes a video on a person, Sunny follows it citing many of the same points, then someone in Moistcritikal’s livestreams have him react to Sunny’s video, it’s a weird dynamic but that’s why I assumed they were cool.

I remember watching a couple videos of SunnyV2 but ultimately staying clear of his content because, to me, his videos screamed "I am feigning unbiased neutrality and objectivity but I'm really just pushing my own personal narrative". Obviously he's free to post his personal opinions on his own channel but I simply don't like the pretentious factuality of his videos on other people, even the shitty ones.

Funnily enough this video suffers from the same issue mentioned at 15:47 where the videos content is only based around a tasty title + thumbnail combination, as the only situation worth mentioning here is the one with Kris Tyson. The other non-situations were deeply dramatized for the sake of filling 20 minutes and having a more relevant title than simply "The Kris Tyson SunnyV2 Situation", which no one would care about anymore considering it's old news.
