As for their performance at the Oscar's, no one had a motive to turn Marah's mic down. Whitney was just singing at her best as she always did and that was the results of her best on that given day. Mariah is a perfectionist so I'm sure her mic was checked along with anything else before they went on stage. No one behind the scenes is going to turn Mariah's mic down and not Whitney's. That sounds ridiculous from anyone who pushed that narrative
