Gilbert's laughter alone has me bursting into fits of laughter. He is an instant antidote against depression. I can't help but smile, when I hear Gilbert crack a joke.
When he spoke after Gilbert died, he said he barely knew him. Hes such a piece of fucking shit. Complete sell out, stern should’ve retired when Artie left.
Everyone in that entire room is genuinely laughing at Gilbert ridiculing Barbara. 30:32 I wonder if Henry ever did give her the thumbs-up and go "Hey!!!!"
I've got a sneaking suspicion Jackie wrote that line for Gilbert. He was on Gilbert's podcast one time, and he said that he would (on rare occasions) write Gilbert a funny line or a joke. Seeing as Gilbert could barely get the line out without cracking up makes me think it's a Jackie joke. The fact that Jackie laughs at his own material with that inhuman laugh makes it funnier to me for some reason.
It's a shame that Howard couldn't be like Gilbert and stayed true to his character in the public eye, but dropped it in private when he was off the air.
I think he always wanted to sit with the "cool kids", he was just acting like he hated them because he couldn't be a part of the club. As soon as he got a chance, he bailed on the audience and everyone who helped get him there. I think age, Beth, his own thirst for acceptance from the industry all played a part. I'm sure she encouraged him along, but ultimately, he's responsible. His show is unwatchable now. Just appreciate these classic moments.
@@hoviksmail the worst of all is how he backstabbed Gilbert. Half the time he started with the Kingfish voice to bait him in. If you listen , Howard does just as much raycissmz as GG , just didnt have the stones to actually drop the N 💣
This is radio history. Gilbert was truly a legend

Gilbert as Ratso's landlord is now one of my personal favorite Gilbert segments.
This lady even said herself that she looked like Howard during her first call
And Howard fed off of Gilbert making his fortune only to reject him, along with the fans who made him. Howard is the real mishkeit.
When he spoke after Gilbert died, he said he barely knew him. Hes such a piece of fucking shit. Complete sell out, stern should’ve retired when Artie left.
As the 90s progressed, Wiggy really tore into Gilbert. He jeopardized his own career to give Wiggy a great show every time he was on.
These are so good thx! RIP he's one of the funniest people of all time all day
18:25 begins hss history. Greatest gilbert ever
Rest easy, Gilbert and Barbara.
Did Barbara die, also?
@@JMSkaggs13 Yeah, she did. From suicide years ago.
@@rooflinestudios224 why did she kill herself?
@@alvilla9659 I think she had a bunch of mental health problems.
@@alvilla9659because of her interaction with Gilbert...
It's eerie hearing Barbara talk about suicide...unfortunately, that's how she died.
oh well her loss

Gilbert was the GOAT of the Stern show. BRILLIANT.
His "daughter" (Kami Cotler) was born in 65. Gilbert was born in 55.
So yeh, that's legit :D

Gilbert truly was a freak. Not a freak of nature mind you, just a freak ...

its so racist, Notice how Robin tries to laugh it off.
The assistant lacks self-awareness. I wonder is she stopped talking about the holocaust when meeting people in Hollywood.
She killed herself. So I would say yes, she stopped. But not thanks to any new self awareness.
