Portugal is nice, but if you want to avoid those pesky tourist shops - "special price for you!", and all that, go to Madeira. It's a small island off the coast of said country. You can take a cable car up to Monte; ten minutes or thereabout, and BOOM - you've gone from standing on flat land to being more than a thousand feet up in the mountains. There is this great tropical garden there, and a café. They have a replica of Christopher Columbus' ship that takes you out to check out the whales, and a bus trip around the whole island costs next to nothing. We got an apartment over there - it's a great vacation spot. You should check it out Adam! And - hold on a moment, is Callum pretending to _pee_ in the sink on bathroom 3? That lad's so weird...
