Drop 5s at this age gives the false impression that many kids can hit until they pick up the wood and the drop 3s with the much larger fields. At least it isn't that slow of a game when you have kids this size using hot bats on small fields it is kind of fun.

I live in Vegas and my son plays at these fields all the time. This is at Hollywood Regional Park. Fields 1&2 are 300’ and bases/mound were 54/80’s for this tournament. This was field 1 they were on. We were on field 2 when they were playing.
13U players using USSSA bats....ok..not in my area...Hype Fire....is a joke. Then these kids wonder why they can't hit past the infield when they have to use wood....
