At the start Sunday's matches all teams start at 0 points, teams get points by getting high placement and getting kills. A team achieves match point when they receive 50 points. After getting 50 points and achieve match point, they must now win a game to win the tournament. Even if a team wins before reaching match point, it doesn't matter since they're not at match point until they have at least 50 points. And likewise, it doesn't matter if you get 60, 70, 80 or even 100 points, all that matters is you win.

This ALGS was so damn stacked it’s insane. SCARZ and TSM almost made a scary comeback, Hopefully next year everyone will actually be able to play and people won’t crash or have game breaking bugs.

I'm so freakin happy proper LAN tourneys are back, pro gamers can be so reclusive and for them to play with their teammates right next to them in front of a live crowd and no internet/server issues... really must be an incredible experience

They mastered the art of attacking agressively, but unfortunately when it comes to play defensively or with more cadence, they get lost a little bit

One thing I truly enjoyed was the crowd interaction. Like when someone would be ratting and barely hanging on or a nasty beam or someone making a Great play you could hear the crowd reacting just like we all did watching it.
Shoutouts to Dark Zero for winning it all, Furia for aggro-ing everything and proving they have what it takes to win leading most of the tourney in points. HisWattson and Pandxrz in particular as they both went absolutely crazy. Also shoutout to RamBeau bro was a sub in on GMT and still did amazing finishing with second most kills. Amazing ALGS super excited for next year 😁

They were lucky that furia throw away 4 matchpoint, they were lucky to come at exactly 50 points for the matchpoint, they were lucky in the final zone that ssg focused on the other team instead of them. Said that, they played certainly well, but not even close to the best performing team.
It was a great competition to the audience but not to the pros. Multiple APAC-N teams got COVID when they arrived and lost their chance to play in the biggest tourney of the year. Some even missed their chance to play in Grand Final. It was suck that EA did not learn anything from Sweden's tourney. Anyway great work from Lej as always and I believe we all want Apex Pro Scene to bebetter

I was here live this was the craziest apex tournament ever seeing furia finding a new level of dominance and dark zero repeating and nafen went crazy this tournament not to mention all the rat plays

staying late watching the finals while doing my final exam is totally worth it, furia went crazy on the finals but DZ taking it home, rooting for scarz but unfortunately no top 10 for them, still they give their best performance on LAN, cant wait for the next LAN event with much more better health and safety protocols

I really loved this Esport event, It actually felt like action all the time, The command center makes it an amazing experience. It's taking the viewer and putting them right into the game which is what gamers want to watch. I love being able to join comms with all the teams and hear whats going on.

I watched all weekend long. This was really fun to watch and be apart of. Im only 3 hours from where it was held but had couldn't make it.
Funny how tsm didn’t go off until they finally switched their comp and gave verhulst valk, every other game was a bust but then when Evan got valk they dropped 19
i think hal would do better on wraith or ash for worlds edge and storm point respectively, verhulst is an amazing valk player and imo (ive also seen a lot of people say the same) hal called for valk ults way too much, and got beamed for it

But Hiswattson was playing like a psychopath and aping everyone and anything that walked. he knew the rules and on top of that he knew what needed to be done to get first place in ALGS (Play for the win). I agree with you, but he was being too much of a psychopath IGL and went rogue many times. 😂

As a season 0 player who didnt play again for 10 seasons im glad the pro circuit had evolved to this. The very first tourny before seasons existed (and im sure many tournaments in between) were: "ok so your gonna all play pubs as a team individually, aaaaand most kills win." This style is so much better.

Game 8 was insaneeeee, the 3 teams on match point all died so early so it became a race for everyone else to get match point, insane stuff almost had 10 teams on match point

Honestly Furia threw that so hard, we’re playing so well and could have easily won but when on match point they just kept pushing teams instead of playing for late game.
That’s how they were winning before, hard to change strategies mid tournament. Also sometimes you have to push teams for better loot or a better spot. So their style sets them up to win
@@DaGoldenCrown yeah the problem with that while being on match point, is that everybody saw the horizon q or ult and knew who they were dealing with, forced the whole lobby to focus them down for a while. There's proof of this when you watch what happens to 100T after they hit match point, they got bombarded from everywhere as soon as the Newcastle wall popped. They could've definitely played aggro and made it work, but everybody knew who to chase.
@@thecanadiansavage I’m not denying that them not changing they’re strategy on match point hurt them. But at the same time, who even plays gibby for them, do they have a confident gibby? It’s hard to change strategies especially when you first strat works so well for their play style. I just disagree with all these people saying they threw the tournament.
@@DaGoldenCrown well to be fair they kinda did throw, I was rooting for them the whole time. The problem wasn't with them being aggressive, they were great at that. The problem is on match point it's better to save that aggression for later on into the game. Sure they were knocking teams out and shit, but that just made it easier for the better teams to catch up
@@DaGoldenCrown They were matcv point like 2-3 games before everyone, yes it hard to hange strageies but thatswhat set some team apart is how you handle being in that psotion. I felt at one point they were so arragont about winning they were just chatting about what they were gonna do during the trophy cermoney before they even won.

Man I remember hating on watching BRs competitively coming from a CS background. While the early-mid game is still a bit problematic, nothing beats the intensity and hype that happens round 3 and onward

I started out as not like hiswattson and furia as a whole but man did they turn everything upside down. The Ranked grind ultimately paid off. TSM, NRG, C9 all these teams underperformed greatly, but there is still hope. GMT was a huge surprise. 100T went crazy. This LAN event will not be topped for at least a year.

He made bad calls and also punched Reps and insulted all his teammates including Alberilie and Snipedown...a good leader never blame his teammates or the people he Is leading into battle...I watched every match and he is toxic to his teammates...I love Hal for that reason because it's good content and makes me laugh but he is just not one of the best igl imo
