I think NOT standing up for ourselves is another trait for me, not being defensive and having a chip on your shoulder but just sticking up for yourself and saying NO softly and kindly in a situation that is not good for your NS that makes you feel unsafe like "please don't raise your voice at me " today or ever to my husband makes me feel more empowered and safe! This was such a phenomenal video to watch. I'm 4 weeks into my dizziness. My diagnosis was vestibular neuritis. I've dealt with dizziness for 20 years on and off, but, this time it's not going away. I definitely felt my brain telling me something was about to happen for about a year. I feel the time just hit me out if the blue, and now I'm trying to learn all I can. I’m at 30min where he’s explaining how safety is needed for these healing processes to occur and how you can rationally have the knowledge and understanding of whats happening but then you need safety for the healing to occur - this is EXACTLY how I’ve been feeling for the past year while I’ve been feeling so stuck in my recovery. Understanding everything but not seeing any further improvement and constantly feeling unsafe and still functioning in a survival mode.

Mine started over 9 months ago and was occasional and then became chronic. As a spiritual practitioner I feel like I'm 3 feet from gold here and am so close and yet so far, still have so much to learn about my own transformation. I wonder if you recommend psyllocyben experience for this issue? I've always been interested to have an experience with a guide, but because I had a "bad trip" at 19 I have fear around having that happen again, (I'm 50) and then add to that the dizziness which could come at any time, it feels like a recipe for possible trauma? what's your take on that if you don't mind offering your opinion here? Thank you again for your generous and helpful work on this channel it has changed me and helped me understand so much more than talking to my headache doctor (and the drugs don't work, btw) who says I have vestibular migraine.
Brilliant Yonit + agree one of your biggest scoped interviews. Loved all the discussion on how our beautiful, clever nervous system already has its language + is talking to us all the time. What’s right about this …that I haven’t been attuned to? An aha moment on how with overwhelm we are just not showing our nervous system that we are in fact safe (well it’s cuz we don’ feel it till we do). There’s nothing to fix….what resources are already well developed, under rated, just invisible through our parochial lens when say panic presents. Lastly, creating or observing that distance ….but more importantly knowing that our spirit doesn’t care about our human experience that we are not. We are just having the experience of thoughts, emotions, acting out behaviours. This is the transformation that shows us that we are not our pain + by allowing it, by all means be curious + question all our thoughts the energy in the body will move if we don’t attach to the pain as if we are the pain. You give me so much hope. I’ve had dizziness for 3 years. Mine is a bit different , I have dizziness every night that I lay down and close my eyes. My symptoms started 4 years ago. Initially, around my period I used to get extremely dizzy and I would notice that when I stared at my comforter it would look like as if it has thay breathing movement and patterns used to look like they are movong. Then 2 years ago when ee had covid lockdown, I got doagnosed eith RA and I started taking meds. I PANICKED thinking my immune system is low now and how will I fight covid. I started getting panic attack racing heart, whole body vibrating, electroc zaps tec. Then one time during my period in nov 2021 I started feeling extremely dizzy again and this time it never left after period. I started having this visual symptom where I felt I couldnt focus and my eyes were like I have heartbeat in my eyeballs. Like as it they are zooming in and out with my heart beat. Then, in dec 2021 I was standing in a store and I felt as if there is an earthquake and the floor under me got soft. I couldnt even walk after that or stand still. They did so many tests and told me I have severe anxiety. I HADDDD ALLLLL the symptoms one could think of. Then I started walking alot and the more I walked, the more I got better. The tremors stopped to certain extend, heartbeat is notmal but that feeling that everything is moving didnt go away. I still get dizzy but since I watched your videos I feel my dizzyness is tolerable. I font have that mushy leg feeling as if floor is aodt anymore. I am hoping one day I will ve fully symptom free. Watching your video helped me a lot as I literally have every symptom. No one understood when I told them that I felt like my body is moving all the time. They said everyones body moves its just that you are focusing on it. They said oh its just anxiety, but I am sure I have pppd." I able to do more. I get really dizzy on treadmill but I feel better on elliptical. Hipefully, one day I will be fully better. But thank you for your videos. I ran to docs for 2 years and only thing they said was anxiety. I never took any anxiety meds. I Find physical movement helps alot. Either walking or gym etc etc.

Allthough I love all of your content and can relate to almost everything which helped me a lot (so gratefull), this interview is a lot (if not too much) for many people in your audience (in my opinion). This is the second time I am whatching it, and I (being a phychiatric nurse) think this is not concrete enough (or whoowhoo as you call it😅). That been said: I did take helpfull things out of it.
So in order to find out if vertigo attack was structural, do I see an ENT? what do I ask him to check? Last time he wanted to put me on that turntable to get the ear crystals back into place. I said no way did i want to go through that again.
I am not dizzy but nauseated , left ear tenderness , tired . What is it ? I had vestibular neuritis With big vertigo 2 weeks ago that went aways in 3 days with cortisone nasal spray . My life has changed big time .

I have heard so many times in similar talks the word dysregulation and I still don't understand what that means: in other words, when one is feeling dysregulated, what does that feels like in our emotions and more specifically, how does that feel in your body and relationships? I am into 35 minutes this interview and getting so much out of it.
Hi there, this is actually a bit tricky and a great question! Regulation means your ability to deal with difficult situations and stressors without being overwhelmed with thoughts or feelings that feel out of your control. This involves your ability to shift/maintain attention, frame/think about your experiences in a way that is adaptive to the current situation, and how appropriately you react emotionally (does it fall in the range of "normal" or is it stronger than normal - hyperarousal- or weaker than normal - hypoarousal?). Dysregulation means you struggle with any or all of those aspects. I see a lot of dysregulation among people with chronic dizziness, which is unsurprising, but often it predates the dizziness. It feels like having difficulty calming down, even if you know the situation is not significant, having a low tolerance for frustration, having sudden or frequent outbursts, feeling overwhelmed by emotions, having a hard time focusing on anything else but emotions or an emotional situation, etc. It can also manifest via anxiety, depression and other mood disorders.
Hi Dr. Yo i was feeling fine for a few weeks now with mild symptoms but it was manageable and yesterday I decided to build a closet all on my own and for about 2 hours I was in a position where i was facing down the whole time with my neck bent over to tighten the screws and everything and after building it and sitting up and moving around a few minutes later i started feeling the strong vertigo and dizziness feeling which i havent felt like that in a while and i am scared that the actions yesterday have triggered my vertigo again or my crystals to come loose and now i am not moving again and just laying in bed which is the last thing i want to do because i feel stuck again i do not know what to do or how to move forward please is there any suggestions and do you think this is just because of the neck position i was in and just temporary or have i done something to ofset it all again please help
Your brain likely associates neck tension with danger. Get it checked (crystals) if the dizziness only occurs with position changes. Otherwise your brain just freaked out. How you respond to it right now is CRITICAL. This is when the most neuroplasticity happens. Use your tools!!! Breathe! You are safe!
@@TheSteadyCoach thank you for the response! my reaction was i completely freaked out and didn't move from my bed for a few days and it sucks that i just took myself back to my worst where i never want to be again because it feels so trapping and my stress did increase a lot from it and i cried a lot because i dont want to experience life like that again
