I think he is doing three things at once 1) resting his body: he's 40 years old 22 years in he deserves to miss a game or two. 2) putting pressure on the front office with all this trade talk and using it to his advantage to push them to do something about this team in attempts to help the team (which he will get blamed for again) 3) contemplating on his retirement. This is the first time he has been in trade talk. He's probably sitting at home like what's the point.
