  • Hy There,
    This time i will show how easy is to make another tool for mini lathe, so you can install dremel or proxxon mini drill into.
    This piece is really easy to make but it's more usefull than you think until you make it and start using.
    I already got one before but it was make in a few minutes so it's not look so good, plus it was from steel, and it was all rusty and heavy, but the biggest problem on steel one was that you really hard tighten the drill into, because steel was to strong to band.
    This time i make out of aluminium and anodise it to nice finish, and also you just can't use that much force on 100W drill to band 10mm aluminium holder.
    Thanks for watching.
    Hope you enjoy in video and welcome to watch my other channel:

    FYI - the Dremel Moto - Tool Model 395 Type 4 has a 1/2 inch 12 TPI curvi-linear plastic nut on the business end. THAT can be replaced with a Hex-headed Plastic Pipe adapter. Buy a white plastic 1/2" Female Threaded ADAPTER (female threaded to glue on end) and that 12 tpi fits the Dremel Moto-Tool. Cut off the smooth glue on end down to the shoulder. THIS works and gives you a Hex end on the Dremel tool. Cost under $3 at any hardware store.

    Can I have your opinion
    Dremel is Petter or proxxon

    • @TinC33
      @TinC33  5 лет назад +1

      Thabks man, i don't own any dremel yet, but own lot of proxxon tool, and happy with any single piece, i try a few unknown brand but they'r far far behind proxxon, dremel is good they say but i don't like their design, this small drillls heave such a "fat" handle, no front mount for holder like this, you can see there proxxon got 20mm steel mounting ring behind rhe chuck...
      I deffenetly say proxxon, but no 220V/110V i prefer 12v tool, because it got much much more torque on low rpm, i can drill aluminium with that drill 3,2mm with lowest possible rpm and it still turning try to do that with 220v, it will drill only on full rpm, the power is same (like 100w) but manufacturer don't tell you on which rpm power is measured, you don't need full power on 12000rpm, you need power on low rpm, that's why choose 12v.

    Tine, what mill do you have? I've seen a couple vids on your lathe but not the mill. Apologies if I just missed it.

    • @TinC33
      @TinC33  5 лет назад

      There are some videos about my mill, like making fly cutter, test boring head, test facing head from banggood, but video about igaging dro instalation is almost all about the mill.
      This is basic chinnese mill, you can get it by many many different brand, just with different add on, paint, stickers and so on, same story as mini lathe.
      Myne is brand px tool 25lv (l mean lonv table and v mean vario - automatic x axix support)
      Just google it as "mini or table mill 20 or 25 than because two of the letters is different from brand to brand, here in eu most common brand are optimum.de or bernardo.at but also can get some no name brand like mine for half the price (yep same mill but no brand) i was really lucky to get this one bearly used for 1000€ but it got automatix x support (cost about 300€ if you bought separatly, i got lot of gadget and tools with and the most importand it got MK3 konus into spindle, it's hard to get that small mill with mk3 lot of them got mk2 konus so you can't use so many tools, max mill diameter for mk2 is 16mm, for mk3 is 20mm.

    but IMHO one point around time 0.50 should be emphasized... the hand drill tool shaft, should be at CENTER on a lathe. so the measurement should be taken between lower plate of cutter handler and the drill tool shaft.
