OK, so I have taken apart the machine in the meantime, and had a look inside. There is, in fact a PID temperature probe on the exit of the thermoblock, just like on the Gaggia GED. So I do think that the extractions will be more accurate than before. That being said, with one initial measurement, it started at 92 to 93°C, dipped down to 88 in the middle of the extraction, and went back up to 93 at the end. There are also two three-way solenoid valves…however, not to relieve pressure off of the brew group, but rather to manage the steam wand. Let me know if you’d be interested in seeing a video of the insides. Thanks for watching!
I would be very interested to know if it has an overpressure valve that limits the pressure to 9bars. If not then it will do poorly with non pressurized baskets because the basket also has a 20% smaller area meaning even higher force (per area) and more channeling.
DeLonghi should reach out to you. I am new to making espresso at home and your vlog influenced me to buy DeLonghi as I am deciding which budget machine to get. And I guess I am not the only one who’s convinced because of you.
I was gifted an EC950 following my retirement from the workforce. My first proper espresso machine after using Nespresso pods for years. What an upgrade. Really good machine, and tasty coffee. I can vouch that you need to get a Specialista compatible non-pressurised portafilter as the Dedica portafilters don't fit. Now it's time to get my grinder and lift my coffee to the next level.
Great review as always, Tom! If possible, a side-by-side with the Bambino Plus would be very interesting, as I am thinking that this would be the main competitor that Delonghi is trying to get at.
Two very different machines for different use cases. The gaggia classic has a boiler, afaik made from aluminum. Everyone has their opinion on this topic. If you drink several coffee drinks over the day, perhaps several people use the machine, and they dont need a quick one in the morning, you might prefer a boiler. That being said, probably not one made from aluminum. Drawback with boiler systems is the warm up time for the first drink in the morning and each drink, if you dont keep it running the whole day. Also a problem lies potentially in the warm up and cool down times, if you want to add steamed milk to it. It can be a pain in the butt to go back and forth, especially if you want to make 2 coffee drinks with milk. However if you want a quick coffee drink in the morning with or without steamed milk, same at any point during the day later, I think the thermoblocks have a clear advantage. They heat up comparetively quick and they tend to use much less electricity as they dont need to heat up a whole boiler of water only to then use a few milliliters for an espresso. Really, I dont think the gaggia classic is a reference machine to beat.
Really like your presenting-style👍 I'm not regretting my recently bought 885 though, maybe beside the automatic milk function no major improvement for me. Cheers from Berlin!☕
Now that ive had this model for a month and really love the espresso making process ive been pondering upgrading to a german or italian made machine but i really cant find a reason too, this little Delonghi is a powerhouse of features and makes incredible espresso , i'll run this unit untill it dies
The original Dedica was/is a great entry point into the home espresso-making world, where you get a good value for your money. However, I feel this new version of Dedica doesn't stand a chance in camprisson to Sage Bambino Plus, which I think was their main goal here. Bambino Plus has a way better built quality and a smoother workflow for pretty much the same amount of money. What are your thoughts on this one, guys? Tom, thank you for a great review! 🙌
it is just an oversized Dedica with stainless steel portafilter and auto steam (that takes also long to froth…). Maybe with better temp stability and faster to change tenp setting (maybe Tom will test the temp stability during extraction). Don‘t see any clear advantage for that money. Old Dedica seems very close to this and it is way cheaper. Instead of the auto steam - milk froather works as well (ok, the cleaning will take bit more).
I agree that its functionality doesn't beat the BP. But I wouldn't agree that the build quality on the BP is better. Also, the BP is much harder to get inside. This one is just 3 screws on the top lid of the unit. What is nicer though on the BP is the solenoid to release pressure off the brew group.
I was just shopping on the jungle site and notice that they are using your video as part of the promotional video for selling the new EC950. Obviously that is biggest compliment you could as for. I hope you got paid...
I just checked the Australia website and it says that the Maestro Plus only comes with pressurised baskets, but the cheaper Maestro only comes with unpressurised baskets. The only difference between the two seems to be the auto milk frother.
I just read the specs from a local retailer and it looks as though the Maestro A$300 is aimed at those that grind fresh beans and want control to manually froth the milk, and the Maestro Plus (A$400) is for those that want a simpler experience with pre-ground coffee and auto milk frothing/purge.
Tom, thanks for this video. I think they began to use same portofilter they designed for 900 series. So you could try to use the bottomless one you already cuted before for Maestro review as well as single wall baskets. I'm looking forward to other videos around this machine soon!
The drip tray looks a lot better than on earlier Dedicas, I recently got a ec685 and the drip tray is really frustrating because larger scales won't fit on it (and thus won't work because the scale is not on its feet), and it has only two large holes (I assume for the stock spouted portafilter), which is again very annoying. Awesome video as always Tom.
I got so excited when I saw the notification on my phone, I had to watch it on big screen. I rushed back home. New Dedica looks lovely and i especially enjoy new temperature settings, I own EC885 and its a bit lackluster when it comes to brewing temperatures! What I wished they would upgrade is to have a matte drip tray, so it doesn't scratch like Arte does. First thing I did for my Arte machine was to cut out a thin rubber cover for the drip tray. Also I'm curious about the shower screen in this unit? is it same as Arte? Pre-infusion was different for sure. Drips during main pour looked more uniform too. Basic mode shots look great in EC950 that's a step up for sure. New steam wand looks great and is definitely interesting, although addition of the thermometer makes for a bulkier package and more stuff to wipe after steaming... i mean its cool, but it could be left manual in my opinion. Whats the steaming power compared to older models? Does brew group heat up or nah? Sorry for a lot of questions. Great video as always Tom!
Hi there! I think it's the same shower screen as before. Steaming power is better. For sure, this is the best steam wand I've used in the Dedica lineup, at least in manual mode. Brew group is still not heated. Yes, wiping off the thermometer is an additional thing, but since it doesn't get hot, the milk wipes off without fuss. Cheers!
Would be curious to see if it can handle even finer grained coffee than the previous model, a comparison to where the limit for each is would be very helpful and interesting! Thank you for the video btw!
Wanna see that PID on a Dedica without the automatic steam wand, which I guess should reduce the price a bit as on the Bambino and Bambino Plus. The only problem of the Dedica (and the Bambino) was not getting stable and high enough temp, so it struggles with light roast shots. If it can manage to be throughout the whole shot at least around 89-90 and up would be perfect for home users even for someone like me that loves only light roasts!
Delonghi also released an EC900, which has a manual steam wand. I think that one would be better than this one, at least for me. But it's not available in my market yet.
That one certainly if has all the same features as this one will be much better choice with lower price I hope for people that want to do manual steaming or don't care much about milk drinks.@@TomsCoffeeCorner
Hi, Tom. I've recently bought Sage Bambino. When I saw this film on your channel I thought: God, I've could wait a little time - this new Dedica might be Sage killer. At first sight it looks like Bambino and Bambino Plus pair, but on the DeLonghi side. After I saw your material I know that my choice was ok. Looks like new DeLonghi has nothing more to offer than Bambino, sadly. If only they gave a manometer to it - people would think "ok, manometer, something more than the competition has, maybe it's worth buying". Looking at it I see no addition in funcionalities. If I were working in DeLonghi I'd definitely add something that would catch the buyer, e.g. a manometer xD Cheers!
Lol, yes I don't know why they don't add some additional functionality over the BP. They had the BP as a template, a competitor, and should have tried to trump it.
I agree ( as an owner of the Bambino, the Bambino Plus and the Dedica Deluxe.) The dripping at the end of a shot (just like the basic Bambino ) is totally annoying and I suspect that means that you cannot backflush this new machine- Tom is that right?
Buttons on the top is a noGo for me as wheelchair driver, I can't see them. My Dream would be the "old" Dedica with valve to relieve pressure of the brew group and better pressure and temperature control. Please DeLonghi build this 🙂
Hi tom. First of all, thank you very much for your detailed and honest direct reviews. Thanks to you, I got into the espresso game with a delonghi dedica and I'm really happy with it. Which fresh beans do you use? I am still looking for some in Germany and would like to jump on your basic beans to test. Keep up the good work!
Servus! Thanks a lot for your comment. Check these beans out, these are my reference: www.martermuehle.de/m-espresso/ Otherwise, Dinzler is also very good, but comparatively more expensive. Gruss!
The coffee is already arriving today. Fantastic! Can you tell me your brewing recipe for a double espresso basket again? How many grams in and how many grams out? Temperature at medium level on a De'Longhi Dedica? I really appreciate your feedback. Have a nice weekend ahead!
With most people fitting a Rancilio Silvia wand and a non pressure basket to our 680s a simple wand and basket would have been cheaper to design and make, they are aiming this at the wrong market for the price point I feel. Companies don't want people to make good coffee for a sensible price for some reason. My 680 is years old and still going strong and we always use it for a quick coffee or staying away as it's so light to take with us.
Really good video, I’ll probably upgrade my dedica to this new model to be honest. My milk steamer on the dedica takes so long to steam the milk and I needed to upgrade machine anyway.
The Bambino + will steam faster is supposed to have really stable temperature, heats up faster, has a 4-hole steam wand far better control over texture of that milk as well... 54 mm portafilter and a solenoid valve to relieve pressure off your puck
Thanks for your initial thoughts and demo. I wonder about the noise/pumping when it is getting ready to brew? Is that just due to the machine being new. Or is that pre-infusion? Also wondering if you have the option to manually steam the milk? Like the new button interface to adjust water temperature, etc. looking forward to more in-depth review once you have had a chance to use this. Still very happy with my Dedica Arte, 2 years and it still performs like a champ.
Looks to be a good machine, except for the absence of a solenoid valve (no quick repeat coffees for the family) and the lack of single wall filters. Seems to be an attempt to make a Sage Bambino Plus competitor, but misses that mark slightly.
Hi Tom, just subscribed today. Question. . . have you compared this espresso machine to the HiBrew H10A which is also a thermoblock espresso machine. Right now it is priced pretty reasonable. I don't know much about the company. Not much on the internet except for good user reviews. Not many but I am not sure how trustworthy the reviews are. Do you have any information on HiBrew?
Is new Dedica EC 950 worth moving from EC 785 with steam wand, or is it better to look for pricier solutions? Both espresso and milk coffees are our favourites
heated steam wand is not the correct term. it has an inner tube usually teflon that insulates heat from the outer metal tube. have heard some comment this inner tube decreases steam performance potential. if delonghi properly engineered it it may not decrease performance. pre latte art era there was little concern about textuting, just making nice tasting capuchinos. many non latte art baristas just turn on the steam wand in a pitcher of milk unattended and know when to stop based on the sound pitch. that is the best way to learn rather than relying on a thermometer. though many of these smaller machines make decent coffee it is nice to know if they dance on the table when locking or removing the PF
Hey Mr. Tom I've just bought a new Dedica EC685 but my coffees with the pressurized baskets are too acidic and sour I used pellini for espresso and lavazza crema e gusto, do have any idea why it's happening it's mb from temperature? Should I use the second or 3 setting of it? If you can help it will be much appreciated thanks in advanced
we use the same pre-ground ground espresso as you used in the video, except we get it vacuum sealed bags, not a can. Is there any chance that specific espresso would work with a non-pressurized basket? btw, thank you for the nice thorough review of the 950!
I wonder if you could rig a nonpressurized basket in the portafilter it comes with. It looks like a nice handle and worth using over buying another one
I did cut the bottom off of my La Specialista, which is the same PF. I cannot recommend doing that though, as stainless steel is super hard, and difficult to cut.
The new steam wand looks really fancy but I worry about manual steaming. Will you will able to use it confortably? At a first glance, I think the breville sollution is better, with the temp probe on the base, because it does not force you to use it and you can steam normally. This looks it'd be pretty awkward to use but I will wait for your review to judge it fully :)
Love your content, I need advice! Desperate to upgrade my dedica I purchased from Amazon in 2018 but not ready for la specialista- I love an espresso macchiato ☕ any advice on next upgrade? 200-£300 budget
It is absolutely wild that the starting price for this is 400€+ for a pressurized machine. The difference in price to a solid Mid-Level machine (Gaggia classic pro, lelit Anna, Bambino Plus) is nowhere near the difference in performance and longevity
On the European side, yes. In America, they are still selling the EC680 and EC685 for $200-250, so this is probably worth it at $400 in the States. But I agree, in Europe where you can get an EC685 for €150, it doesn't make sense to spend €429 on this. But of course I have to test it.
Is that the Garmin Instinct 2x you’re wearing? I’ve been thinking about upgrade to that from the original Instinct Solar. This has nothing to do with the Dedica video but seems appropriate that we take similar choices regarding espresso appliances and watches haha.
Hi Tom, Thanks for this - although I feel like paying 3 times compared to the original dedica... Well I do not see why it would be worth it. What's your take?
please: a test with a bottomless portafilter;-)! and: interestingly - it is nearly unavailable in Germany.. the price went up to nearly 400-450 euro - and what I really don't like is the new "aurtomatic" steam wand , the bolder appearance, no bottomless portafilter included but a shi...ty "tamper". Why not integrating the pid control within the old compact design etc?
@@TomsCoffeeCorner hmmm- I cannot see that, for me it seems as if you are using the normal one. please show me where I missed it - because I really estimate your effort with the dedication series;-)!

oh yeah, seems like i'll be throwing out my old dedica for the new one! Will you do a video on it counting temperature and pressure? it's the most important difference for me
Seems like a good idea on paper, but I never missed a temp probe on the Dedica, what a pity they dont offer one without as I would prefer a simple steam wand only. EDIT: I saw they do with the EC900!
@TomsCoffeeCorner meaning that the new dedica has more visual differences compared to the latest versions, I was doing a reference when someone goes through a breakup and then that someone has a glow up. By the way, I love your content ;)
Hi. You said temper dimension is 50.64 mm. if so can I use 51 mm puck screen? (That would be the smallest available in the market I guess) ? or I don't have to buy one as it already included in the package?
@@TomsCoffeeCorner Thanks Tom. You are very thorough and have good eyes for details. and very kind to us. I appreciate you explain all those details about the new machine. Its much helpful before I just purchase. Thank you.
I think Tom's doing the right thing.DDelDeloDelogDeloDelonDelongDelonghDelonghi Delonghi is a very popular model available all over the world. The real and useful information is here. Elsewhere it's just advertising. Thanks Tom
I'm very happy he does. When I bought my Dedica many years ago, there was hardly any info on how to use it, and it took me a long time to get a decent shot out of it. Now, thanks to his channel I've improved even further. I've got a naked portafilter, grinder, and just yesterday I installed a different steam wand with the help from his video.
There are hundreds of cheaper machines with far more options and non pressurized baskets. your paying double for a recognizable name that honestly is just not that good. @@gordanbabic8028
I 100% agree that at this price point, and at this point in the lineup, they should start to include a normal non-pressurized basket. Their argument would likely be that this is bordering on an entry level semi-automatic, and therefore it's more geared away from someone who would want a normal basket. I think they should make like a hobby spot in the Dedica lineup, where it has a spring loaded tamper included, fancy baskets, temp controller with a readout, etc
Initially I thought this would be nice upgrade from my Dedica 685 but looking at this vid I don't think I will. The 685 looks better, has a smaller footprint and don't see any real improvement worth the extra money. Also, adding the jug or that tamper as most people would have these and newbies wouldn't care if they got the basic plastic tamper. Better to provide wooden handle and non pressurised basket instead. Next will be Dedica 885.
Bought mine in September 2023 and by December it stopped frothing the milk. Repaired and serviced and now I am in the same loop as it has stopped frothing the milk again after two months. Delonghi is not beng very helpful with their customer service. I am so disappointed in the whole process, you must do this, so that we can do this. My machine is clearly faulty.

Check these beans out, these are my reference: www.martermuehle.de/m-espresso/
Otherwise, Dinzler is also very good, but comparatively more expensive. Gruss!
Thank you very much. I have already placed my first order there and am very pleased. I wish you all the best! 🙌👍
The coffee is already arriving today. Fantastic! Can you tell me your brewing recipe for a double espresso basket again? How many grams in and how many grams out? Temperature at medium level on a De'Longhi Dedica? I really appreciate your feedback. Have a nice weekend ahead!
I will probably get one later when cecomes available as second hand to add to my collection.
ECP still wins Old is Gold
With most people fitting a Rancilio Silvia wand and a non pressure basket to our 680s a simple wand and basket would have been cheaper to design and make, they are aiming this at the wrong market for the price point I feel. Companies don't want people to make good coffee for a sensible price for some reason. My 680 is years old and still going strong and we always use it for a quick coffee or staying away as it's so light to take with us.
Agreed! I take my EC685 with me on every vacation, lol. I just love the small form factor, and it does a good job. Cheers!
Really good video, I’ll probably upgrade my dedica to this new model to be honest. My milk steamer on the dedica takes so long to steam the milk and I needed to upgrade machine anyway.
Is this the answer to the Bambino Plus? If you are into milk these are interesting upgrades. For espresso I don't know yet.
That choo choo sound is the new pre-infusion. You can steam manually, and it works quite well. Cheers!
I’m thinking of purchasing a new machine. How does it compare to the Brevill bambino?
I'd say they're very similar. I will have to do a comparison soon.
Love the new design and auto steam wand, but for god's sake, de Longhi - why double the price of your most popular product?
Hi Tom, Do you think I should buy EC950 or what I have (EC885) is the same?
Looks to be a good machine, except for the absence of a solenoid valve (no quick repeat coffees for the family) and the lack of single wall filters. Seems to be an attempt to make a Sage Bambino Plus competitor, but misses that mark slightly.
Basically Bambino with temperature control, but still without any pressure control. More expensive than GCP here.
Valve and non pressurized basket is needed at this pricepoint. At this pricepoint the 885 is the way better option
Like the design but disappointed they didn't increase porterfilter size to a larger diameter. Great review as always ☕
Thanks, but I don't see Delonghi ever switching from 51mm. Literally all of their machines have 51mm. Cheers!
Nice review, "Which one do you prefer, your upgraded EC685 or this one?"
If they were them about the same price, I would say this one. If you can get the EC685 for much cheaper, then go for that one.
I would love to see him review the Rocket apartamento TCA espresso machine
I am not a huge fan of heat exchange or E61 (takes forever to warm up), but I do have to admit that the TCA looks pretty awesome.
Actually, HiBrew reached out to me and I will be preparing a review in the future for the H10A. Cheers!
I decided on this model over the Bambino plus model. I like mild to medium roast beans. Can I upgrade the portafilter to a nicer one?
I have decided to purchase this machine but can't find a bottomless portafilter for it. Can anyone help a newbie out with a lead?
@@TomsCoffeeCornervielen Dank 🌞
Is new Dedica EC 950 worth moving from EC 785 with steam wand, or is it better to look for pricier solutions?
Both espresso and milk coffees are our favourites
Interesting additions to the line! Are the dims the same as previous? Looks bigger/wider. Worth the price hike?
It's 7.5" instead of the previous 6".
thanks for review and nice presentation, but is no way in the world this worth £300+ 😮
Well, the new solenoid valves are expensive - like 25-50 each. So the price is kind of justified, but yes it's expensive for what it is.
heated steam wand is not the correct term. it has an inner tube usually teflon that insulates heat from the outer metal tube. have heard some comment this inner tube decreases steam performance potential. if delonghi properly engineered it it may not decrease performance. pre latte art era there was little concern about textuting, just making nice tasting capuchinos. many non latte art baristas just turn on the steam wand in a pitcher of milk unattended and know when to stop based on the sound pitch. that is the best way to learn rather than relying on a thermometer. though many of these smaller machines make decent coffee it is nice to know if they dance on the table when locking or removing the PF
True, it's called a "non-burn" steam wand. But it's really nice to have, so that you can clean the milk off, way easier! Cheers!
I was impressed with steam performance. Steam sounded continuous rather than pulsed. I have an old Electrolux thermoblock standby and steam is pulsed.
No, sorry you need to grind fresh for the non-pressurized. Cheers!
Something like this with 58mm and maybe just a little better details and I'd be really interested
Hey Tom, thanks for the review. Do you think this is worth upgrading from the original dedica? Cheers.
I wouldn't say it's way better than the original. I'd probably only recommend it if you plan to use the autofrothing feature regularly. Chers!
Yes, you can steam manually with this one just fine. But yes, the temp probe is a little awkward. Chers!
Love your content, I need advice! Desperate to upgrade my dedica I purchased from Amazon in 2018 but not ready for la specialista- I love an espresso macchiato ☕ any advice on next upgrade? 200-£300 budget
Do you already have a grinder? Which one?
@@TomsCoffeeCorner just a basic grinder from Amazon
Is this edition still suitable for the 51mm portafilter/basket?.Got the previous Dedica & looking at upgrading
нет
It is absolutely wild that the starting price for this is 400€+ for a pressurized machine. The difference in price to a solid Mid-Level machine (Gaggia classic pro, lelit Anna, Bambino Plus) is nowhere near the difference in performance and longevity
On the European side, yes. In America, they are still selling the EC680 and EC685 for $200-250, so this is probably worth it at $400 in the States. But I agree, in Europe where you can get an EC685 for €150, it doesn't make sense to spend €429 on this. But of course I have to test it.
Thank you
how can we remove the plastic piece from the portafilter? it dsnt have a screw like the older dedica…
You can’t - it’s press fitted…
Is that the Garmin Instinct 2x you’re wearing? I’ve been thinking about upgrade to that from the original Instinct Solar.
This has nothing to do with the Dedica video but seems appropriate that we take similar choices regarding espresso appliances and watches haha.
Howdy! It's the original Instinct. I was debating which one to get, but this was on sale at Target for I think $149, so I went for it. Cheers!
Hi Tom I hope you can reply, can I use the same portafilter from the previous Dedica on this? Thanks in advance
Nope. This is a different one. This is the same PF as the EC 9155.
Thanks
Looks nice
Hi Tom,
Thanks for this - although I feel like paying 3 times compared to the original dedica... Well I do not see why it would be worth it.
What's your take?
I wouldn't say it's worth 3x the original. I'd probably only recommend it if you plan to use the autofrothing feature regularly. Chers!
please: a test with a bottomless portafilter;-)! and: interestingly - it is nearly unavailable in Germany.. the price went up to nearly 400-450 euro - and what I really don't like is the new "aurtomatic" steam wand , the bolder appearance, no bottomless portafilter included but a shi...ty "tamper". Why not integrating the pid control within the old compact design etc?
You betcha! I've been using it with one I made from my La Specialista, and it works great!
@@TomsCoffeeCorner hmmm- I cannot see that, for me it seems as if you are using the normal one. please show me where I missed it - because I really estimate your effort with the dedication series;-)!
What's better - Gaggia Espresso Deluxe or this machine?
This one. The GED is a much cheaper build and has a really bad shower screen. That one was really made for just pressurized extractions only.
Hello, does this have a heated grouphead? Thanks!
Nope.
Tom would you recommend this a good machine for beginners getting into a espresso machine? thx
Yes, I should say so. It has some nice automated features. Will you be getting a grinder to go along with it?
@@TomsCoffeeCorner i just ordered it today it was $50 off on amazon and yes Tom i ordered a Breville Smart Grinder pro also, didnt want to spend too much in case i suck at this 😄 i can always upgrade later thx for the excellent vids
There seems to be a change with the pre-infusion as well?
Does it ramp up the pressure in the beginning? Or at least simulating so?
It does the choo choo train pre-infusion now, just like the La Specialista. Basically, short bursts of water/steam.
Do old delonghi dedica accessories work on this one? Such as none pressured basket, tampers...etc
Have you measured how many pressure bars?
Yes they do. Everything except for the portafilter.
top review
Can you recommend a good bottomless portafilter for the Stilosa please 🙏🏽
Sounds good, it's this one: geni.us/EC155Portafilter (affiliate link)
I wonder where it's made? Anyone had a chance to see if it is made in China ore Europe?
China
Delonghi should reach out to You.
I bought my Delongi ECO 35.31, Delonghi KG 79, and ( Delonghi Dolche Gusto Mini mi- not for coffees-for other sweeties)
becouse of You.
(and other naked portafilter etc....)
I will send my receipts and my you tube questions from you before I bought and I will send to Delonghi.....
oh yeah, seems like i'll be throwing out my old dedica for the new one! Will you do a video on it counting temperature and pressure? it's the most important difference for me
I dont know why I heard a very nice in a Borat style
Did you by any chance go to a German Language school in Bamberg? Treffpunkt?
Nope!
This or a bambino plus?
So far, I'd rate them about the same...
The same functions the same weakness like in old machine ,but in new body, obviously it is a part of marketing
The inside is actually quite different. Reveal video coming soon. Cheers!
A bit too expensive... but nice looking one
nope. too much going on. the old ones (non maestro plus) are just perfect. just perfect. they are trying to over-engineer here.
So looks like this could be a cheaper alternative to the bambino plus, minus the solenoid for the brew group!
Why does the steam wand has two bars instead of one?
One is a thermometer.
The other one is a thermoprobe.
Seems like a good idea on paper, but I never missed a temp probe on the Dedica, what a pity they dont offer one without as I would prefer a simple steam wand only. EDIT: I saw they do with the EC900!
Who hurt the Delonghi Dedica???
What do you mean?
@TomsCoffeeCorner meaning that the new dedica has more visual differences compared to the latest versions, I was doing a reference when someone goes through a breakup and then that someone has a glow up. By the way, I love your content ;)
Not the quietest machine😂
made in china again :(
That's true. But so is my iPhone every time I upgrade it. Cheers!
Hi. You said temper dimension is 50.64 mm. if so can I use 51 mm puck screen? (That would be the smallest available in the market I guess) ? or I don't have to buy one as it already included in the package?
The basket is 51 mm, but the tamper is a little bit smaller than the basket. So yes, a 51 mm puck screen would fit.
@@TomsCoffeeCorner Thanks Tom. You are very thorough and have good eyes for details. and very kind to us. I appreciate you explain all those details about the new machine. Its much helpful before I just purchase. Thank you.
why do you spend so much time on delonghi?
he likes the budget options which I appreciate
I think Tom's doing the right thing.DDelDeloDelogDeloDelonDelongDelonghDelonghi Delonghi is a very popular model available all over the world. Many people can make more delicious coffees with small changes without making new investments. That's how I got to know Tom. Of course he is very inadequate and he should spend more time on other devices. It should be known that these devices are very popular and no one else but Tom would make such a review video.
Very informative, thank you
There are hundreds of cheaper machines with far more options and non pressurized baskets. your paying double for a recognizable name that honestly is just not that good.
The USA version, according to Amazon reviews, does in fact include non-pressurized baskets as well. Cheers!
