All MBA colleges offers placements only in marketing but they call it with different names resembles like a finance job, but there are many jobs available for MBA finance in Cochin Info-park. Companies like EY, UST Global, etc are looking for the same. Stress-free job with good pay (I am working in such company after working as finance professor for 10 years). So try for such companies. No colleges knew these jobs and so they never bring these companies for placements. As for as courses are concern, colleges offers funny add-on certification which are useless. Try valuable and good certification courses like CFA, CFP, FRM, CPA, CWM, etc. I am a CFP

MBA is a generic term. It stands for any two year postgraduate level management program. Cirtificate given may be MMS, PGDM,PGP and MBA. All these are considered as MBA. Most students are not aware of this. You should have explained this aspects also. I had come across some good students who opted for some lesser know college only because they award MBA.

Madam, as Long as distance MBA available, Regular MBA is a curse, because we do believe that distance MBA is less qualified, but it's is utter foolishness when we think practically because Distance MBA learned people growing quickly compared to regular MBA The logic is simple 1 The distance MBA students starts their job soon after graduation at age 20 along with Provident fund benefits with out loan mean while Regular MBA students bear a huge education loan and pass out at age23 with zero experience and also loan emi 2 The funniest thing is that there is there is no diffrenciation ( no added advantage) for Regular MBA cerficates compared to distance MBA., exception IIM only, even reputed colleges also not beneficial compared to course fee 3 The employer highlly emphasize on experience rather than where we studied ( regular/distance) , after gaining experience soon after Graduation, distance MBA is enough, no employer will dare to ask whether it's regular MBA or not to an experienced person. 4 The simple logic - The minimum qualifications for IAS and IPS is just bachelor degree that means PG is not necessary for any king of high profile jobs ,just experience is highly noted everywhere, PG is always secondary.

Dear friends the quality of MBA depends on the quality of institution one study...Prepare for CAT and other top examz and get into a good one..Yu will get a good information if yu approach entrance coaching centres like TIME ,IMS, etc...They have a good coaching and good institute information and when to start the coaching etc
What about colleges in Kerala which requires KMAT apart from IIM. Is it any good ?

MBA is not a small course it's a highly professional course.it's not required to study in a premium institutes to became a Manger but even the people passed out from IIM is(A)found out ineffective. MBA വെറുതെ എടുക്കുന്നത് കൊണ്ട് ഒരു കാര്യമില്ല സ്കിൽസ് ഡെവലപ്പ്മെന്റ് ഇല്ലാതെ. മിക്ക ഇൻ സ്ടിട്യൂഷനിലും ക്വാളിറ്റി ഉള്ള ഫാക്കള്റ്റിസും സിസ്റ്റവും ഇല്ല.
