    Lol! Thank you! I make mistakes all the time! I love your class. I live in New Hampshire, USA and have told a friend of mine, 2500 miles away, in New Mexico about you both and have been having fun! We're just a couple of older ladies learning to draw during time alone during Covid.

    Its ok to make mistakes. What makes you awesome is when you admit it & learn from it. And also thanks for being very honest and taking the time to correct us ❤❤

    thanks so much! I have been going through your videos one by one, and was puzzled by the shading lines in the last one's challenge and the one where you made a mistake, thinking I was missing something critical. I just looked at this one and was so happy to understand. Also, I love your humor and willingness to admit a tiny mistake. You are the best!

    It's great that you admit your little accident, and it even reminded me to be careful with this shading technique! Btw, what do you two study in university?

    • @Linescapes

      Well we hope we learned something and everyone else can also learn from our mistakes :) We both studied landscape architecture. That's why sketching for us is a tool for observing and thinking about our environment.

    Please demonstrate (from the very beginning) again, with less clutter and use a ruler so as to eliminate any further confusion. I would be so grateful if you spend just another minute or so. You guys are very good and very nice.

    Not a problem guys, it did look a little awkward when it was drawn the first time. That errant corner looked like the light source was down by the ground point not up where the light source was located. Glad that you explained it in this new video. Thanks.

    Aw, I was a happy little accident :)
    These videos are great. I made myself an art challenge for January this year (I couldn't find one that I liked) called #TutorialJanuary where I go through different art tutorials and try to learn. I haven't taken art since primary school (I'm almost 38, so that's nearly 30 years of no art classes) with the sole exception of one beginner drawing class from a guy that spent almost 500 hours drawing the head of a crow without detailed feathers. After about a week of doing a different medium every day I decided to try a single medium for a while and chose your videos to follow. One video a day for the entire playlist. It's been fun and informative. Connecting it with the other tutorials I've done is a challenge I try to give myself when I'm done with an exercise. Thanks for making these!

      You're amazing! I love the dedication. Thank you for watching at all the tutorials. Do you see yourself expending your skills? Would you add any additional topics to our videos?

    Shading confuses me. If the light source is behind the object then the shadow should be cast towards me. But in your video the light source seams to be coming from the foot causing the shadow to be cast to the right. Is it just me? Bare in mind, I am only on day 10 of working through Line Scape's basics

    hey, thanks for your great tutorials. I am a beginner and have a question. I don't really understand for the shading which lines from the bottom and upper light source have to be connected as a point?

    • @zainbenten4423
      @zainbenten4423 2 года назад +1

      if we reference the cube used in this video, the lines that cross are
      line drawn from the top light source to top right corner of the cube + line drawn from bottom to bottom right corner of the cube
      line drawn from the top light source to top front corner of the cube + line drawn from bottom to bottom front corner of the cube
      line drawn from the top light source to top back corner of the cube + line drawn from bottom to bottom back corner of the cube,
      basically whatever corner is above or under the corner that you choose should be connected as a point
