I've never checked the spoke tension on my old Husky, after riding it 15 years. Finally got around to checking. Aha! That's why none of them are loose - they're all completely seized in place! Tightened to 24,000 inch-pounds!
@@JETZcorp damn yea I did the same thing except I hadn’t done anything on my dirtbike that had 10 hours on it. But I think I did okay for my first time today. Just did the tap thing at the end and all seem pretty good tryna keep up on maintaining it since it’s my first bike ever having learning curve
Mate, I was always worried about doing spokes... never even crossed my mind to tap them as a quick way of gauging tension... I do the same with the tyres on the truck at work listening as I give them a tap to gauge pressure... Thanks, this made me more confident about doing my spokes now
I wondered this for so long, difficult to find a dang example of the proper way to tighten front wheel, ass backwards from rear wheel which most vids I searched only show rear wheel. (Yes I’m mechanically challenged and have to see it before I do)
I love GB's workshop tips.
Very helpful, always learn well from your instructions.
We are stoked to hear that we could help you out Ken! 🙌

@@andrewtorgerson6143 That rim ended up cracking beyond repair. Got a new one now and it demands frequent attention!
