Baltimore is a very bipolar city. Born, raised & still live here but the issue is the cultural misguidance.
From Corruption [which continues to repeat itself] to education to incompetent parenting, B-more shouldn't be the way it is but we; as citizens, have allowed it to get this way in the past 15 years

Born and raised in St. Louis. It’s almost normal to have lost 1 or more friends or family to violence people are desensitized. The city wasn’t always like this, growing up it was much more family oriented and cultured. Now you have to look over your shoulder and carry guns with you everywhere in that place. Very extreme gun laws so people literally roll around with AR15s it’s insane. People getting shot on highway is a common occurrence as well, the most dangerous highway in St. Louis I 70 East heading towards downtown, I’ve lost a cousin and have had friends shot on that highway. Nowhere is off limits including the areas that are more suburban. I can remember being in the 11th grade during the Ferguson riots, entire schools were protesting and walking out, I even attended a few protest with some friends myself

I remember driving to the VA hospital, and the neighborhoods you go through look like a war zone. It’s sad. I really hope it turns around in the future, because St. Louis really has a lot of cool stuff to do. The city museum for example is amazing, I’ve never seen anything like it. I’m kind of surprised that it’s Cape Town and NOT Johannesburg that’s considered the most dangerous city in South Africa.
I traveled and stayed in Cape Town back in 2017 for about a week, and for the most part, things were not too crazy out there from my personal experience.
But hey, I guess it’s a good thing that I was lucky and fortunate to not be in or around too many high-risk areas in or around the country 😐 Also, most of the people I met and hung out with while there were mostly very polite, hospitable, and funny people. It’s unfortunate that not everyone there can be like most of those I met while there.
I hate to say this, but I think most people can agree that it’s mostly police/government corruption and the scars left over from racial segregation laws imposed under the Apartheid system that are to blame for the vast majority of criminal behavior and why so many Black Africans in South Africa still live under deplorable living conditions in the Cape Flats and other impoverished neighborhoods.
    It’s truly a shame 😔
Sorry for the long ranting 😅

In venezuela only about 1 out of 20 violent crimes gets reported as most criminal gangs are managed by the local PSUV (aka the socialist government) overlord or the local police/military stronghold. Meaning... there goes the whole list.
In a real world scenario, the whole list would be your average venezuelan town.

i am brazilian, born and living in João Pessoa, already been to all those capital cities in northeast Brazil.
i've already been multiple times to salvador, went to the exact location of that picture from it, already went on that elevator and that museum down there.
fortaleza? wtf i thought it was safe, next year i'm going to tourist there (for the 3rd time) i might reconsider...
i was already suspecting that Natal wasn't showing up, glad it did, its very famous for being violent, because of the recent gang conflicts between rioters and the state's polices.
i was very shocked, i knew brazilian cities would appear but somehow rio de janeiro, recife or no cities from santa catarina showed up... instead, showed up some that i would have never imagined!!

Before this week, I've actually stayed for 3 weeks in Querétaro, Mexico which is located right in the heart of Mexico and as long as I've been there, I've never had any issues with the people there. Everyone there were very friendly any I would say that Mexico is a very good country to visit especially if you are comfortable speaking Spanish. I know that Mexico also has its share of murders, robberies, and kidnappings, but I think as long as you use normal precaution and you stay away from suspicious people or activities, then you should be fine. From what I've experianced, Querétaro is actually a much safer place than Puerto Rico. Also in Mexico, I've had much less of a language barrier because I remember in Puerto Rico, many people who claimed to speak English and Spanish couldn't understand me well in neither language, in Mexico however, although most people there don't know any English, they do however understand me well in Spanish. Of course to be fair, I know a lot more Spanish now than I did in 2008 when I visited PR.

In certain streets I won't mention you are almost guaranteed to run into trouble at night. Mostly addicts trying to get more money or drunks fighting each other. For the average person however it is a great place to live even here. The city as a whole is booming & modern as it is with plenty of jobs. I love it here

Yeah it's dangerous and whatnot, but whenever I would tell people about going there I give them 3 pieces of advice: don't dress like someone worth robbing, don't look like someone worth murdering, and (this is the most important rule) DON'T under any circumstances let ANYONE you do not know ride in the taxi with you!

@@ranelgallardo7031 Howdy, neighbor. It's gotten kinda rough down here lately, hasn't it? I'm fortunate enough to not live in the worst part of town, but not the best, and here the homeless population appears to have multiplied while the kids are nearly as criminally active as they were in the early 90's.
That era was even crazier, if you weren't around to recall. Even the outer suburbs were infested with gang activity before the big crackdown of the mid 90's, and weekly brawls at the local, mostly white high school were a thing.
When people complain about the rising crime rates in America, they may not recall how bad it was 70's to mid 90's.
