Love TOM! Their free museum is one of the best on Native American artifacts. Big Paul used to wave and talk to the people down below (You can see a line where his wrist once moved). You could even have him talk to you personally if your parents went to a shack next to Paul and talked to the person who was speaking for Paul. Mine did that when I was little and it surprised me! I was probably wondering "How does he know my name and that I am even here?" ;)
I could absolutely live in there! 🪵🌲I’m in Southern California by Laguna Beach and the farthest north I’ve ever been was Santa Cruz, which was also beautiful… but I could totally just build a tree house and live in it after seeing this footage. 🙌🏼🌲🌲🌲🌊
That looked like fun. When I think of Redwood trees I always think about the trees with tunnels cut through them and I wondered if there were any that still existed.
Lots of fun, there! I really hope to visit the Trees of Mystery myself someday. Always happy to see Jen in the videos. She's so cute! You make a good couple. So glad she seems to enjoy life on the road, too.
Glad to see you found one of California's best. It is to bad paul does not talk and wave his hand anymore. They have been upgrading in and out structures for many years. Including motel across the road.
I went to Humboldt State University....now called Cal Poly Humboldt.....I've been to the Trees of Mystery many times!!! Love the Redwoods, Paul Bunyan, and the N California coast❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Be happy Jacob, that those Redwoods are so tall. (Sharks- 👀can’t climb trees! ) maybe you could find a snow globe with a shark in it? Then you could say “black like a dolls eyes” and “Rosebud” at the same time! 😁
Wow, when I lived near the Paul and Babe statues, it was literally just in a parking lot along the highway. No visitor center. Interesting. I wonder when it was built. It had to be after 2010.
You and jen are so adorable. i am so happy you have found someone to make you happy again jacob. going through some tragedy on my end, and i know how important it is and how special it is to laugh and explore and to see two people living life and being silly and curious makes me so happy
Wonderful! Paul Bunyan and more Redwood / Sequoia trees! A very nice exhibit with shop, information and of course those exciting skywalks and sky lifts through the trees. Great driving Jenn, no fear, no sweat, just concentrated going through the tree. i could spend a whole day there, just taking in the majestic size and the calmness radiated by these trees. What a relief after the business and hurry of our daily 'normal' lives.
Thank you for sharing. Trees of Mystery was always my favorite to travel when I was younger. Fortunately my parents were a travel bug like me. I used to college mugs from all of these places when I was in like elementary school age. Drive through is always great. Thanks again. Keep safe and enjoy!

I haven't been up to Klamath, but there's also a drive-thru tree in Leggett, which I've done twice. Looks like you and Jen had fun!! Avenue of The Giants is also worth a look nxt time you're back in that area. The tree car ride in the sky that you did was awesome!!
I vaguely remember from my youth (I m 65, that's why it's vague) all the Paul Bunyan characters, but it was a really cool walk through the redwoods, especially the walkway up between the trees and the gondola ride which DID seem pretty fast! You ended the video with a drive thru a tree, which was very appropo!!Attaboy, Carpetbagger n Jenn!!!
I watched it as per comment below and was not disappointed! Ahh such great memories! Even driving g through the redwood tree! The tree we drove through had to be much larger as we were driving a van. :D Thanks again for your great content! See you next time
Mr. Carpetbagger, if you are still in the area, you might head North, just past the Oregon boarder and to the East, you will find the Oregon Caves and Chateau. I've stayed there, it;s a Park Lodge. Very Nice.
My dad has been gone some years now but I have a photo of him under Babe the big blue ox holding up....well you know...they are massive lol. That photo was taken in 1963 . I am 64 now but we have been going up that way as long as I can remember. I hope you plan going to the Avenue of the Giants. You won't be dissapointed!!
That is one of the best Paul Bunyan's I've ever seen, certainly the largest and Babe is awesome too, the hooves are huge!!! I m from Michigan and I've seen quite a few of them,!!!
Been to trees of mystery , many times & my late parents , 60s , 70s & recent times ! Well I see added attraction now ! I need to return ! Tram ride look beautiful ! Such great memories ! Thanks ! Jacob
Hey Mr carpetbagger Jason, if those ruthless theives wouldve taken that famous hat with all the cool pins we would have shaken the whole state down to retrieve it for you , cameras can be replaced, no replacement for the trips and memories I have of just seeing you wear that hat!!
My feelings are...if you live in Cali ypu MUST SEE..Yosemite, Disneyland and the Redwoods. My last thought is hwy 101. I know there are tons more but those are my favs.
This place has been on my bucket list even before I knew what a bucket list was. Haven't made it out that way though, at least not yet. One of those things...
So glad you have visited that wonderful place, I used to be there when I was kid, and believed it or not, you just looking at giant animationic paul bunyan! It a shame it not moving for some reason.
Hi Jacob, my friends Scott & Dina Inman turned me on to your channel. Have collected postcards & momentos of American roadside for about 6o years. Have visited many of the places you've filmed & have thoroughly enjoyed the revisits. Keep up the good work, spreading happy memories & exciting adventures in our diverse & quirky country. Best, Rich Musante
there's also ocean world there in crescent city. surprised you didn't make the detour to willow creek to the sasquatch museum. or do the one log house. I know some places on 101 and in Oregon if you'd like any suggestions. anyhow, I love your content, never miss an episode
Yeehaw! Another video from our great friend! Looking forward to listening to it while I replace the roof of my new rv (used, but new to me). Thanks my friend
I think why I love watching your videos compared with some others is you’re very respectful & kind, I love that about you, you’re not judgmental 😁
Yes!! New video!!
What a beautiful trip! Thanks so much.

i remember seeing the redwood trees in California many years ago . I was amazed by their gigantic beauty .
enjoyed "natures underpass"
My dad went here when he was a kid, he took us there 30 some odd years later and said it hadn't changed a bit.
I haven't been up to Klamath, but there's also a drive-thru tree in Leggett, which I've done twice. Looks like you and Jen had fun!! Avenue of The Giants is also worth a look nxt time you're back in that area. The tree car ride in the sky that you did was awesome!!

National Paul Bunyan Day is celebrated annually on June 28th. Sounds like the anti-Arbor Day.🌲
Awesome Work Bro, Thanks 👍👍😀 Greetings from Helsinki, Finland 🇫🇮🇺🇸🇫🇮🇺🇸🇫🇮🇺🇸
Omg
Mr. Carpetbagger, if you are still in the area, you might head North, just past the Oregon boarder and to the East, you will find the Oregon Caves and Chateau. I've stayed there, it;s a Park Lodge. Very Nice.
Don't forget to show us your meal stops! You stop at some really interesting restaurants.
Driven by many times, each time I say I will stop. Very nice, reason to check it out!
I’m figuring that you (Jacob) needed a rest after this episode of climbing on that trail. So I will wait with anticipation for the next installment.
My dad has been gone some years now but I have a photo of him under Babe the big blue ox holding up....well you know...they are massive lol. That photo was taken in 1963 . I'm from Michigan too
"Ewok Village" that's how I sold it to my kids! Great shots!
The tree bridges remind me of the Ewok village on Star Wars.
🫢 awesome job Jen
Been to trees of mystery , many times & my late parents , 60s , 70s & recent times !
Well I see added attraction now ! I need to return ! Tram ride look beautiful !
Such great memories ! Thanks ! Jacob
I was totally thinking about how it looked like the Ewok village and was so happy when you said it too!!!
that smashed penny Paul Bunyan looked more like Abraham Lincoln dressed as a lumberjack
i live near klamath and wince every time i pass the grotesque statuary at trees of mystery
Hey Mr carpetbagger Jason, if those ruthless theives wouldve taken that famous hat with all the cool pins we would have shaken the whole state down to retrieve it for you , cameras can be replaced, no replacement for the trips and memories I have of just seeing you wear that hat!!
I think one of the tunnel trees fell over. I Kilda remember reading that.
Hey Jacob! I was their last year on vacation. Sept 2021
Absolutely stunning!
Paul Bunyan's statue is pretty tall at the shady tourist joint! You shouldn't be sweaty when you are at the place!
Great video ! Thanks so much for taking us along !
Great video.its like a a city trees
I've lived in California my whole life, never been to the trees! They are my next trip! Hi Jen 👋 love to see u
My feelings are...if you live in Cali ypu MUST SEE..Yosemite, Disneyland and the Redwoods. My last thought is hwy 101. I know there are tons more but those are my favs.
wow so cool trees ty for video
😂😂 Lol nice detail on the Chest Hair
The Rope Bridges through the Redwoods depicted at 10:00 of the RUclips reminded me of the Tree Village of the Star Wars Ewoks.
A few minutes later, Carpetbagger mentions the Ewok Village. Lol!
Really enjoyed this video!
Great video, guys!
8,000 years old?!! Hahaha! You crazy man.
I live in one of the places he passed through to get to Paul and babe the blue ox I live in Humboldt county
Omg omg omg. Are you coming up to Portland?
My 4yo absolutely loves you. ❤️

Hey a place i've actually been to myself! Cool!
This place has been on my bucket list even before I knew what a bucket list was. Haven't made it out that way though, at least not yet. One of those things...
Thanks.
I like Jen, she’s cutie 🥰
Really
Beautiful visit🌳🌳🌲🌲
Great stop.
I think it's two holes for salt and three holes for pepper so you don't get too much salt in your food :)
Un nerving sound those things make
So glad you have visited that wonderful place, I used to be there when I was kid, and believed it or not, you just looking at giant animationic paul bunyan! It a shame it not moving for some reason.

I can’t see myself crossing the sky trail in between the 2red wood tree
The drive thru tree is something new since I was there last. Looks like you missed the fudge unless they closed that part of the gift shop.
🎉
Most salts have 4 holes And pepper shakers have 6 one hole for each letter.
there's also ocean world there in crescent city. surprised you didn't make the detour to willow creek to the sasquatch museum. or do the one log house. I know some places on 101 and in Oregon if you'd like any suggestions. anyhow, I love your content, never miss an episode
I wonder how Choker Charlie got his name? This was so cool.
Calaveras Big Trees State Park .... Near Gold Country is a must see.
I actually used to live right down the street on the Yurok Indian reservation fun place to be beautiful sites
Wouldn't want to polish his boots 😧 Sat watching with a hot brew. Thanks both 👍🏻
A canthook is a hook loggers use to turn the logs in a sawmill. ..
To be truthful about it, Paul Bunyan is very big wherever he is ;)
Yeehaw! Another video from our great friend! Looking forward to listening to it while I replace the roof of my new rv (used, but new to me). Thanks my friend
You must come to folklore hunted house in Acworth ga when they open
