Scott certainly is making tiny changes even in his passing, but it still fucking hurts that he's gone. Noah being able to get through this song on the day of the news is really impressive, I had to play a show the same day and it was really difficult to be on stage even without being able to pay tribute to Scott. Couldn't stop thinking about it.
For a decade, this song sounded like a sweet, happy little tune to me. But now, hearing someone else sing it for Scott, makes me feel horribly sad. And lost. How am I supposed to keep my shit together when my heroes cannot? . Maybe that's what makes life so special... the chance that you can find heaven and hell in an otherwise same old boring day. Especially when you can help someone else find heaven or escape hell. Scott did that for me. Many many times.
i can't help but laugh at the people who laughed at the opening line thinking it was some kind of joke song. little do they know, they just heard one of the best songs ever written and have probably never heard it by the original artist. rip scott. we love and miss you, friend.
The song is sad/tragic but the opening lyric is definitely funny and brilliant as well due its tragicomic insinuation. Scott, I think was being retrospective and is probably talking about the absurdity of life with those lyrics. 'Jesus! it's just a Spanish boy's name man, how could then this one dude get so much fame because of a name? ( How do so many people call this 'boy' GOD and worship him with immense blind faith) I would have laughed too, if I heard it out of context.
Great cover. One of the most touching things for me is the way he seems to get emotional when he turns away from the mic at the end. Heartbreaking and beautiful at the same time..
Given that this was recorded on the day that the news of Scott's body being found. and probably not even rehearsed much (if at all) I think this is among the best versions of this song that I've heard, although there are a few minor errors in the lyrics/phrasing.
Nice cover. The world is such a sadder place now without Scott
You got that right💔
We still have everything he did. It's harder, for sure.

To be fair, I think they realised after the second line they were listening to a fantastic song. You can almost hear the silence as they listened
Absolutely amazing cover really did this song and Scott justice.
Noah does such a beautiful job - probably my favorite tribute to Scott that I have seen.
Have a look for the Ham Sandwich version of Good Arms versus Bad Arms... you might enjoy that one too... 👍🏻
@@paulkross40 Yep, seen it!
It blows my mind how far Scott's reach was - really a musician's musician.
I was lucky enough to see Noah perform this in Manchester, UK in January 2020. A beautiful tribute to a talent sadly missed. RIP Scott Hutchison.
When it’s all gone, something carries on ❤️
Even without the accent, this sounds awesome, great tribute Noah, cheers for the upload. I'll miss you Scott, as many, many will.

Tiny changes
Such a beautiful rendition and what a voice. Scott would have been well jel, in a good way.
Who the hell downvoted this????
make tiny changes
Should learn the lyrics.
Have a look at The Charlatans doing a version of this at Belladrum in Aug 2018...
