This song was the first of only 3 writing credits Jason ever got as part of Metallica (the other two being "My Friend of Misery" and "Where the Wild Things Are").
I remember the day this came out and my buddy Mike D. called a bunch of us over to his house for a listening party and it was awesome, but I as a sound guy for a friends band my first thought was "I can't really hear any bass guitar"... I kid you not. Then to find out what happened I had to chuckle, and I knew I could trust my hearing. You can hear it on this cut and it's sounds so much better with the bass. I'm a karaoke junky so this is cool but we'll see if I ever try it in front of an audience.....lol. rock on!
What’s weird is when you turn up the original on a loud set of speakers there is this weird buzz that happens that makes a mock bass. I’ve always remembered that. But I agree I love hearing the bass lines now
I think this is one of those "bass added" mixes that have circulated the internet. This one is really well done, though. Went back and listened to the original and no bass to be heard.
Unfortunately, I'm not able to do any of their stuff. They're in that small list of bands that aren't allowed to be posted (or go viral) anywhere; along with The Beatles, The Eagles, Hendrix etc.
@@CCKaraokeare you open to other suggestions if not i get it, cant be out here filling every request. More metal would be dope though Amon amarth, Cannibal Corpse, Suffocation shit like that

Where The Wild Things Are is one of my very favorite Metallica songs. Actually, My Friend of Misery is a classic too. ... I'm seeing a pattern.
@@CCKaraokesame, where the wild things are my favorite too
Because Jason wrote the main riffs for this song, I get chills everytime I listened to their recording audio when Jason showed them the rifffs
Try to add more Metallica music, I find your channel quite useful when it comes to playing guitar, and your work is amazing, regards
