I loved the diamond letters the pack had during those years. I heard that also state's uniforms, including that insignia, was voted the best looking or classy. It looks great on the field too.

I remember being at this game. Mack was a complete jerk not bringing his team on the field until right when the coin toss was to occur. What an ass. Man was the crowd, even the UNC fans, ever pissed.
It was great that we then took them apart.

Tyler Baltz you posted 7 years ago and no one has bothered to answer you. So here it comes. We have always had the S on the helmet until 1986 when coach Dick Sheridan changed it to the diamond ♦️ NSC. It was changed back to the S on the helmet in 2000 when coach Chuck Amato took over.

Until Rivers #12 Geoff Bender was my favorite NCSU QB. He was by far better than Terry Jordan so I never understood why they split time. It made me dislike Sheridan
