Krimson holds up really well too. Can't pick a favorite with Warpaint, the differences in the songs lend well with subjective interpretation. Disco/Very pops off for that type of person lol

They opened up for Sonic Youth 10/9/10 in Austin and I was glad I saw them. Excellent band. I look forward to buying some CD's and hope to see them again.

@SkullXII the original line-up had shannyn sossamon (Jenny Lee Lindberg's sister) as drummer (2004-2008) they recorded Exquisite Corpse with her and when it got too time-consuming she departed the band, they replaced her with a couple of drummers until Stella Mozgawa joined in as a permanent member in 09 taking part in the recording of The Fool. Maybe you should listen to their interviews instead of just reading wikipedia.

Anyone deserves to listen to good music. That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. Music is meant to be shared with everyone! It is probably the most beautiful thing in the world and for you to judge who deserves to listen to it? is disgusting. This is also not mainstream. Do you see it on the Billboard Top 100? This is just a great band getting recognized for their amazing talent and they need to be heard. The True Fans Will Love Warpaint Unconditionally.

i want to say its josh klinghoffer from red hot chilli peppers since i know he was playing drums for them at the time, but i think the song is credited with jenny lee's older sister shannon sossamon as drums for "beetles". of course it could also be "david michael orlando" never heard of him
@MrBlubbabub It's not about women not being talented in music because they're women. It's that these women aren't doing the Beyonce and Britney Spear and Fergie thing. They actually play instruments and do it very, very well instead of going on that route that MOST women in music do.

I love how people keep flipping out about 'girls with guitars'. Women don't play their guitars with their vaginas-- musicianship is a concept above genitals. Gender has nothing to do with music.

@repmekevets No, they've been on and off since 2004 and started playing gigs in Los Angeles mid 2007. They got signed on Rough Trade in October 2009... before that they were BROKE. Good to hear you're buying the record. Do you have their EP as well?
Funnily, I discovered Warpaint recently but I also recently found out that Emily Kokal did vocals on the chorus of Red Hot Chilli Peppers "Desecration Smile". You have to listen very closely on good headphones to hear it though. :)
This song would be good for the soundtrack in one of the Twilights.
