I can see why the Zaibatsu was so hype for this game for so long. I can see how fighting game lovers would drool over. I personally am not a big fan of fighting genre bit I love the style and character models for this game, it looks really sic and unique.
I've only recently realized how much of the core and hardcore gaming audience is terrible at keeping their expectations and hype in check. So many people in the comments here saying this game sucks because they have to wait a little longer to get single player content. On the flip side, It's hard to sympathize with Pat's hype over this because he all too often shits on things for being okay and not meeting his specific standards.
Since everyone went crazy for this, I wish they would've made a special intro, something like Woolie opening the door, but before he opens it all the way, whoever's holding the camera pushes the door open and knocks Woolie down. Then he gets back up, gets pushed onto the couch. Matt and Pat jump up like "Hey, what the fuck?!" then they get pushed onto the couch. Everyone ends up pushed onto the couch, the camera starts shaking and you hear someone yell something like "FUCKING PLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!"

Okay, I'll explain it to you. Their steam page does not say that we're buying a glorified beta. The only mention is "Stay tuned for more announcements regarding new characters, stages, features, and more." which a normal person would asume was them just saying they'd add more DLC characters. You should never be forced to go to their site to read this important fact. One on steam compared this to ordering an omelet then getting a raw egg and getting told 'Don't worry, it'll be an omelet in a month or two'. I should not have to go to the chef to ask him if I'm getting a raw egg or a cooked egg.

Okay, I'll explain it to you. Their steam page does not say that we're buying a glorified beta. The only mention is "Stay tuned for more announcements regarding new characters, stages, features, and more." which a normal person would asume was them just saying they'd add more DLC characters.
You should never be forced to go to their site to read this important fact. One on steam compared this to ordering an omelet then getting a raw egg and getting told 'Don't worry, it'll be an omelet in a month or two'. I should not have to go to the chef to ask him if I'm getting a raw egg or a cooked egg.

For real though, the core game is great and all but that release was and continues to be completely unacceptable for a game.

Also they said from the beginning what content would be available at launch. If you didn't want the game with the current set of features it has then why did you buy it this early? Are you saying you made a purchasing decision without fully educating yourself first? Because in that case that sounds like an issue on your end.

I really wish I liked the Street Fighter games, but they've always felt way too stiff. Also, I can't wait to see how many versions of this game they release, considering it only has 16 characters, which for modern fighting games is quite small and also it's Crapcom.
