Cam, I'm prolly gonna catch hate for this but you need to do a build on a Forte GT. No one else has but it's a well-kept secret. No it's not muscle, and not a sports car, it's a "budget performance car" but it would be good for lots of folks that can't afford a focus rs, or coyote mustang and definitely not an audi. A fun car under $30k that can hit 300hp without a rebuild. I built a focus buy list off your st video but they were out of production and I couldn't find one so I went with a brand new 6 speed Forte GT and haven't been disappointed.
Two questions: 1. Did you have any issues with increased temps due to most of the radiator being blocked off by the pipe? 2. Did you get a CEL? If so, what did you do to fix that? I just installed mine installed and I’ve seen a noticeable increase in engine temps on my N55 EWG. Also got a CEL and as a result, the engine does surge a few times, does get annoying. Any recommendations?
The pops from a catless downpipe sound so good. Not saying you but most of the people with these just use it to annoy people and not actually for power purposes unfortunately
Definitely forgot to unplug battery when doing down pipe install myself. I just removed the o2 connections on the valve cover and had realized. I went and removed the negative terminal now, am I good?
Yes intake is the easiest install on any car to make gains. Obviously it’s not crazy horsepower but the car will breathe better depending where you locate it and you will see performance increase

340i is 2016-2018, and 2019-present is M340i. The difference really is the car. 340i’s are F30, M340i’s are G20. Minor engine differences came with that
B58 is such a good platform for easy daily driver power. Sounds pretty good for an Inline 6 too.
imo, Straight 6’s just always sound better than V6’s
@@Zokoych can’t argue that, the only V6 that really isn’t awful is the GTR engine and that’s thru turbos which helps it a lot.
probably one of the best engine BMW has produced no doubt. I have the e90 335i with the n55 engine, next goal is the f36 440i
