Why do "bisexual" flowers even exist? Why don't they take advantage of sexual reproduction like animals do in order to mix the genes? If both male and female will likely immediately come into contact, why not just grow the fruit outright? Some plants reproduce this way by growing little baby plants that break off. I forgot what they were called because I haven't lived in a house with a garden for many years. And the seeds they make are numerous and ineffective. Which type of flower is the further evolutionary step from their ancestors? Like did the both parts accidentally come together, or didn't undergo the split?

Cross pollination explained wrong . When the pollen grain of one flower pollinates with different flower of same or different plant is called cross pollination.
