    Watching you putting all the beautiful stitches in your little pictures I think the penny has dropped, I haven’t been sewing enough stitches 😮😂💖💖💖

      On the small pieces it helps hold all the fabric down. Sometimes when I make bigger ones I don’t use as many stitches.

    So I have just finished the first part of my very first slow stitching thing, whatever these things are..... I've watched countless videos and tried so many times but my scraps just never looked good together. So today I decided to just go for it, not worry about how they look, and now they're basted down, and this is a major success. Thanks to this video. I can sew, embroider, do sashiko, etc., but this part eluded me. YAY!! I'm on my way now!! ❤

      That’s wonderful! Just go for it. Sometimes I’m surprised by how well odd pieces of fabric work out.

    Hi Jenny, I found your channel this morning, and I am so excited. This is exactly what I want to do. I have always been a sewer, in fact I taught many workshops in. my time. Now I am approaching 80 years old, and want to do something more relaxing. Thank you for your beautiful ideas. Are you in the UK? Warm wishes, Joan. 🥰

      John Bead but they are local to me. I have also seen them at Michaels but I can’t remember the brand. They’re called superduo.

    The templates you have included are helpful to me.
    Is there a way to print those.
    Thank you. I'm a newbie 😊

      Which template? The circle? You would have to buy one. It’s made of plastic like a ruler. You can get them online. ☺️

    What do you do with all the pieces once made ? I was thinking they would make great cards if I tried it. So going to set up a slow stitching box thank you

      You could certainly use them to make cards! When I have 8 or 10 pages complete I’ll make a book.

    What other kind of sewing do you do to have these scraps? Asking for a friend. ❤

    • @cookingjennfer
      @cookingjennfer  10 месяцев назад +2

      They’re the bits I saved from fabric used in other stitching projects. I also used to sew cloth dolls and animals, pin cushions, ornaments. Mostly things on the machine. Scraps pile up after awhile.

    When do you remove your basting stitches? Thamks

    • @cookingjennfer
      @cookingjennfer  10 месяцев назад

      Whenever I feel like all the pieces are secure enough if they’re getting in my way. Or sometimes at the end.
