However, if we refer to politics, India and the UK are not just trading partners, but also economic allies and military allies alike. Turkiye doesn't hate the UK. I've been to Turkiye 10 times in my life and from my experiences they like and respect us British. Our tourism brings money to their economy and creates jobs for them. Ive spoken to many Turkish natives and they all agree that they would much rather serve British customers instead of customers of their own nationality. They say we are very polite and we usually dont make a big fuss if our order is incorrect. Aswell, British and Turkish culture is quite similar, meaning we share some of the same traditions and interests. Ontop of all that, I've seen them flying the Union Jack in their streets many a time. Not to mention the history between the two nations whether it be bad or good. 🇬🇧❤🇹🇷 One last thing: from my personal experiences, Turkish people love British humour and often join in with our banter. I am an Indian who lives in London. I think the UK is a beautiful country. However, if we refer to politics, India and the UK are not just trading partners, but also economic allies and military allies alike. Also, only because India's past was made hell and infested with British rule doesn't mean that India and the UK are enemies. Quite the opposite, in fact.

Overall, that is something I as a Scot have never experienced of worth, most people seem respectful of the UK in my experience. My only negative is that too many nations refer to the UK (Britain) as England, which it is not & never has been.

Turkiye doesn't hate the UK. I've been to Turkiye 10 times in my life and from my experiences they like and respect us British. Our tourism brings money to their economy and creates jobs for them. Ive spoken to many Turkish natives and they all agree that they would much rather serve British customers instead of customers of their own nationality. They say we are very polite and we usually dont make a big fuss if our order is incorrect. Aswell, British and Turkish culture is quite similar, meaning we share some of the same traditions and interests. Ontop of all that, I've seen them flying the Union Jack in their streets many a time. Not to mention the history between the two nations whether it be bad or good. 🇬🇧❤🇹🇷
One last thing: from my personal experiences, Turkish people love British humour and often join in with our banter.

As someone from Britain, I can understand why some nations despise us. Probably because of our history and governance. However while ik how much of a bad impact we have had on many countries and cultures, I think people sometimes overlook the good things we’ve done too. I think it’s wrong to judge the people in a country on their history, I don’t necessarily like a lot of countries histories and governments but more often than not I love their cultures and people!
