Sorry to be so off topic but does anybody know a trick to log back into an Instagram account? I stupidly lost the account password. I would appreciate any tips you can offer me.
No lie, this exact video saved me a huge ass headache with figuring out how to lay everything out. It's been 8 years since i made anything. And, back then i was using an mpc 2000xl and a phantom x6. Over those years i ended up going maschine mk3, s61, ultimate 10 and a built computer. Mad as hell at trying to figure out all new stuff. Thanks, man!
Thanks for showing me just how easy it is to work with my new toy!!! I will be banging out house tracks left and right with this method... so easy to work with by the way you demonstrated. Thanks DDS
What I do is make all the patterns on 1 scene then I duplicate the scenes as many time you want the song to last but make sure u make the scenes “unique” setting. The unique allows u to cut or add instruments from the original scene but since the scene is made “unique” it doesn’t have an effect on the original scene and I add or cut according to what you want.
After watching your informative video, my MK3 went from being as complicated as a German Enigma machine, to now being more generally understandable for making tunes. Much appreciated.
You are the only video that made the whole "scenes, patterns, etc." fiasco make sense!! I was getting frustrated by not being able to understand this (coming from 10 years+ experience with FL, Pro Tools and Logic), but I feel an entirely new enthusiasm for learning the hardware. Thank you!
OH My God! This just changed everything for me!!! I make all my beats on maschine and I always HATED sequencing in maschine 2 because I would go into song view and manually input every single pattern for the entire song in linear mode - and I always have 7-8 groups so sequencing was always tedious and time consuming - I had NO IDEA that you can use that hold scene shortcut to just hit a few of your pads to designate Intro hook verse etc - that by itself just shaved at least 97% of the time it would usually take me - DDS825 THANK YOU MAN, THANK YOU SO SO MUCH OG
Bruh.... You have taught me alot about the mk3 and the process of making beats.. You are definitely my go to thanks for what you do..I will definitely keep supporting 💯
congratulations DDS i choose you to teach me about machine i have trouble with scenes, patterns and arrange. ive watched your videos over and over its complicated
Thanks a million for your video. Great Work, Finally after multiple tries, I watched how you did your arrangement step by step and voila, finally understood it and it worked. Great job buddy!
I actually learned something new lol I never knew what that "append" button did and I always arranged my track by using the arranger button and then selecting my scenes that I've already chose patterns for. Appending makes things so much easier. Thanks D, your way is more organized. Keep pushing these tutorials they're dope.
This is AMAZING. I was stuck on this and becoming frustrated as hell. Now it all just finally clicked. Thank you Sir. I wish you nothing but happiness & success.
Second video of yours I watched...you're really breaking down a lot of the common flaws of Maschine I've read about. I am subscribing because between you and Jef Gibbons, NI needs to hire you guys to be certified teachers and brand ambassadors for how far you show beginning and experienced Maschine users how far they can go. I am crossing my fingers for NI to add more features to the software to be on par with DAWs.

I was mad at you at first cuz you made me want a mk3 lol now I gotta figure out why my kontakt and other ni stuff won't load in maschine
@DDS825 Bro, thanks for the Tutorial video my Brother, much appreciated. I was at Guitar Center yesterday over in Danbury CT and I was getting the feel for it. Feel in love with the Machine MK3 and I'm definitely going to get this device. I love how you broke down the arrangement as well. I guess you don't really have to get any DAW in order to make a track which is cool.
thank you for this, ive been looking everywhere for someone to explain how this works, last time i used maschine was the very first maschine software which is sooo different to arranging songs in....this has been a massive help
Thanks bro. I have been struggle with arrangement cuz im used to arrangement in a daw.but this was very detail. Especially in ideas mode. Does seem easier
Thank you for a clearer understanding about the NI software. I was having a hard time with it, but this video makes more since of the product. Keep up the good work and making great music. God Bless.
Man nice tutorial! It’s very different coming from Ableton to Maschine, and this was exactly what I needed help with . Thank you for making this video!
Thank you this was super helpful! Maybe I missed it, but my tracks bleed over each other, like my guitar pattern will loop one bar into the next scene as it moves through the arrangement, how do I turn this off so only the sounds from each scene play at one time?
Amazing work!! Videos are super detailed and easy to follow...this is my favorite one since the serato sample video. One question... effects... is there a way to have effects, on pattern 1 of a group but not pattern 2?
DDS, you're the man. I've always hated the Maschine arranger, and greatly look forward to Clips, with the next update. This video is truly eye-opening. The way you used Ideas view to flesh it out, and use the mouse to rename the Scenes to make it make a lot more sense... then pinning the Scene view, then Appending everything in order with one pad hit for each place you wanted each Scene in the arranger... flawless, man. Absolutely genius. I don't know why I didn't find this video until tonight. But I'm so glad I did. Thanks again, bro. One small request-- did you (or could you) do a video showing your custom DDS Groups, that save you time? I'm curious exactly what they're about and how you use them, such as here, with Group E. Thanks so much!
It takes a lot for me to subscribe to a channel, and just by u saying,”Hit me up,we can one on one talk”,that’s love. Plus u talented AF! I been using this maschine studio, not the mk3(Basically the same)and the more u practice all the ways to arrange,record,compose....it becomes second nature. All u need after that is motivation plus inspiration. God bless amazing vid.
Hey fam, I was on last night,u were killing it till like 2am on RUclips live, and I asked u about expansion packs like Crystal Daggerz, and Queensborough story, but I dloaded em on my Mac at the time. So I just switched to a HP laptop,i7 and 1 tb plus my hard drive, and I got eeem back man. I had them under a different email an password,in Native Access,so I called N.I tech support, and man the security questions are no joke,so it checked out,and they merged my 2 emails that maschine N.A was set up with. And u told me they would do that,so love fam. Also u really need to make a vid about bringing it back to the basics, maschine 101,cuz these 16 yr olds swear they produce, but can’t tell me what producing in linear style means,or what sounds make groups, and a big amount don’t even use the formula, and have no clue what GROUPS,SOUNDS,USER SAMPLES ARE! Plus they depend on a top secret VOCAL PRESET THAT MAGICALLY Mixes ur vocals down to a science. I think ur the most dedicated producer out,bar none and if u create a,”Taking it back to the basics” video,ur channel will explode. There’s a lot of new blood out there that are looking for these vids, but the creators are so cocky, they cut the video 12seconds in. Just a thought. Anyways it’s great to know u answer questions for those who are almost near ur grandness, nah but seriously,God Bless You and ur Craft,I’m a follower 4life,and PLEEZ keep dropping the vids.
Top notch tut bro! The append feature is definitely your best friend once you have your ideas laid out on how you would like to have your song arranged....💯
Damn dude, dope beat! I'm excited to get into the Maschine world, but I'm still struggling with what my workflow will look like. I'm using Bitwig for producing, Cubase for mixing/mastering. If I used Maschine I could do everything non-linear until I'm almost done the song, then export all the midi/audio into Cubase directly, so bypassing Bitwig altogether. I wish there was a powerful controller like Maschine Studio for Bitwig.
Awesome tutorial the structure struggle was real wit me lol until i thought just make the whole song with the groups patterns then break em down within the scenes like u did ..hope they make that linear so we can make ins & out drops with patterns so we can make beats more active sounding without all the extra bar shifts 2 match length so creatively keep flowin & it dont change everything in the beat if u forgot 2 copy a new pattern then rework..thanks bro appreciate the knowledge💪
Super Nice man! Exactly what I was looking for. I came from Akai and that’s how I used to do it, but I couldn’t wrap my head around it on N I . And of course I had to like and subscribe! Much respect and thanks for explaining this in layman’s terms!
Thanks for the answer bro! Sorry if It sounds newbie but... let’s say I made an arrangement in Maschine... what would be the workflow to mix and master it?? I have Ableton 10 too. Can you export a maschine project to Ableton to polish it?
It would be dope if you could Exchange Groups on the fly , in a real time situation. You would think that because everything is saved within maschine, you could go to a file on the left called groups, and drag and drop a saved group onto what you are working on, and it would seamlessly keep playing smoothly. That’s what I would want. It would be like launching clips in ableton.

Guess u just reminded me that we have to figure out our own path by ourself and no one else gonna do it for us... Props 2 u bruh
I’m glad you found the channel man. I struggled with Maschine when I first got it but after I set aside time to learn it it changed everything for me. But it is true that you have to figure out what works best for you.
@@DDS825 Ok cool. Im having a bit of trouble with sequencing though. The last time ive made a beat is when I had my Maschine MK2. I traded that in and went down in size for the mikro mk3... its a small learning curve with the system update to. Is there any pointers you can give me? An online session we can set it up with basic arranging ?
I know the new Mikro definitely has a learning curve. lol It took me a second to get used to. But yes we can schedule an online session. Email me at DDSInquiries@gmail.com
How do you make the arrangement view (song view) to when you zoom out on the horizontal bar the bars on top skip from 1,9,17,25 etc to be able to see more of the song? Mine isn’t doing that, it still goes 1,2,3,4...
Hey dds thanks for the things you do it's much appreciated, but I wanted to ask if I buy the mk2 do you get more sounds compared to the mk studio, just seeing if it's worth paying the 600 dollar or the 800 dollar one.
Same sounds I believe. You should look them up on the NI site and see what each come with but majority of the time it’s the hardware that’s the difference
DDS825 ok thanks and I was looking for some comparison videos between mk3 and mk studio and your video popped up..lol, so overall I think I'm leaning towards the mk3, but thanks again and have a good one!
Excuse me, can i ask you something? How do you do to record a live session? I mean record my live perform by some external software or maschine have his own recorder?? Please help me
been using fl studio for a long time I recently got machine studio and im completely lost I get stuck trying to make a beat in one group call me dumb but im still lost
You don’t have to make the whole beat in one group. You can use separate groups for different instruments. I have a playlist that may help you on my channel, or a Maschine course that can help you. But either way you’ll understand it with time!
how do you fix the length of your patterns when you have a transition everytime i do my transition will hit twice for that scene instead of once. i think im explaining this right.
If I understand you correctly, you have to change the length of your pattern to match the length of your scene and place the transition where you want it to hit.
Hey DDS I had it only a couple days. I picked that Machine Studio up from Guitar Center and it works fine with the software I had already from Maschine Jam. Thanks for the response the other day about if I owned Jam would Studio work if it came with no software. I'm recording in Maschine Studio. While recording its not recording sometimes while i'm hitting the pads nothing there sometimes, but if i play the samething on my midi keyboard its fine i can see it on the grid in the software. Do i have it in some kind of mode. It wasn't doing that lastnight. I must have pushed something. Need Help Bro.....lol
hi DDS, i have important question about " chord " is it possible to do like this vst " obelisk,Cthulhu" i mean u make chord and " learn it " for play one touch, i m not clear sorry, i m mean is it possible to creat own chord with maschine ?

I know the new Mikro definitely has a learning curve. lol It took me a second to get used to. But yes we can schedule an online session. Email me at DDSInquiries@gmail.com
@@DDS825 Alright cool thanks!
How do you make the arrangement view (song view) to when you zoom out on the horizontal bar the bars on top skip from 1,9,17,25 etc to be able to see more of the song? Mine isn’t doing that, it still goes 1,2,3,4...
Do You Have A Video On Patterns That Explain How To Get Different Patterns In One Group?
Just make new patterns. Or Duplicate your current pattern. I did a video for that specifically but it's a part of my course.
Great video!....Slow down spitting that game on the next one's tho, lol!
When I slowed your video - ~Wala magic~
Thanks!!
Nice video bro You stayed on topic because the other onesDon’t break it down the way you doing ..
So you Can put all you sounds on the A1 pattern u have to put each instrument on different patterns?
It works better for me to separate sounds in different groups
Thanks DDS!!
No problem!
if you want to add effects can't you make an effects group and add
the effects to certain senses?
I don’t think it works like that. You’d have to use automation
oooh ok. thanks for the reply family. appreciate all the videos also
Great thanks ❤️🐨
🙌🏽
Its such a difficult but I will try
Once you get the hang of it, you’ll love it
DDS825 want to learn it step by step from you, your a great teacher 😀
Hey dds thanks for the things you do it's much appreciated, but I wanted to ask if I buy the mk2 do you get more sounds compared to the mk studio, just seeing if it's worth paying the 600 dollar or the 800 dollar one.
Same sounds I believe. You should look them up on the NI site and see what each come with but majority of the time it’s the hardware that’s the difference
DDS825 ok thanks and I was looking for some comparison videos between mk3 and mk studio and your video popped up..lol, so overall I think I'm leaning towards the mk3, but thanks again and have a good one!
Could you elaborate on the stage where you "print" the non linear to the "song mode " didn't understand how you did it
Where I append? I just put them into the sections I divided them into in ideas mode. If that makes sense. lol
Excuse me, can i ask you something?
How do you do to record a live session? I mean record my live perform by some external software or maschine have his own recorder?? Please help me
You can record into the Maschine MK3 but with the others you’d need an audio interface.
Thank You!!!!
Glad I could help!
been using fl studio for a long time I recently got machine studio and im completely lost I get stuck trying to make a beat in one group call me dumb but im still lost
You don’t have to make the whole beat in one group. You can use separate groups for different instruments. I have a playlist that may help you on my channel, or a Maschine course that can help you. But either way you’ll understand it with time!
I have a question, Do you do your final mix-down/master in Maschine or export the stems into a linear DAW like Logic and mix it there?
I mix in Logic.
@@DDS825 Can you do a video on this?
@@Coronaboii88 I have a video up on exporting my files to mix in logic and I have a whole mixing course.
how do you fix the length of your patterns when you have a transition everytime i do my transition will hit twice for that scene instead of once. i think im explaining this right.
If I understand you correctly, you have to change the length of your pattern to match the length of your scene and place the transition where you want it to hit.
Hey, great video. How much do you charge for a skype one on one lesson tutorial?
do you have/know a good kit for transitions?
Thanks for this Bruh
Thanks for watching!
Hey DDS I had it only a couple days. I picked that Machine Studio up
from Guitar Center and it works fine with the software I had already
from Maschine Jam. Thanks for the response the other day about if I
owned Jam would Studio work if it came with no software. I'm recording
in Maschine Studio. While recording its not recording sometimes while
i'm hitting the pads nothing there sometimes, but if i play the
samething on my midi keyboard its fine i can see it on the grid in the
software. Do i have it in some kind of mode. It wasn't doing that
lastnight. I must have pushed something. Need Help Bro.....lol
