They need all 7. You'll notice they don't harmonize a lot, but rather each gets "spotlight" verses. That's one major reason they sound different from typical boy band sound. Dancing and harmonizing live DO NOT go hand in hand. They sing live. I have heard different experts break down how this is possible, and it is fascinating. A lot of their dances keep a straight line through the diaphragm so they can still sing and breathe. They practice singing on treadmills, and when they sing while dancing hard they sing full voice as it's easier to keep the voice stable in full voice mode. If they need to harmonize, they will pair a vocal with a rapper, or if it's two vocalists harmonizing, the pair with stop dancing, or slow down to harmonize their part while the others continue. It is truly an art and the amount of mindfulness that goes into it is mindblowing. They make it look easy, but there are behind the scene videos (that their company released), showing them getting oxygen after and in between performances. They are perfectionists and work with the cream of the crop in the industry, as well as with a dedicated team many of which have been together with the boys for nearly a decade and have perfected their process. They hire the best hair and makeup, best choreographers, best videographers, best vocal coaches. They get individual vocal coaching for every single song. They never stop learning or trying to improve. I think there are like 4 of them who are currently enrolled in online masters program for music business, and the CEO of their company Big Hit said his goal with Big Hit was to treat it like a music camp with an emphasis on practice and study of music and performance for their artists. BTS has a big hand in producing, writing, even composing, some choreo, and in their videos as well. Their next album is all self-produced. They have different roles as well, either in general or from song to song. The different "lines" within BTS: Rap line: 3 rappers (suga, j hope, RM) Vocal line: 4 vocalist (jin, jimin, jungkook, V) Dance line: 4 dance line (jimin, j hope, v, jungkook). They can all dance though, but these are typically front and center and bring that extra oomph to the performance, and usually do the more complex moves on dance breaks. The beauty of 7 members under the brand name BTS, is that they can split into subunits and release music or collab with other artists, under the BTS brand. There are some rap line songs, some vocal line songs, and subunits of a mixture. Each of them also release solo songs on BTS albums, and most have solo projects separate from BTS (the 3 rappers all have mix tapes as well).

Fun fact BTS has the ARMY fanbase but their are also Army Moms that go up to women in their 80s. Parents willingly support their children who want to listen to BTS becuz of their positive and thought provoking messages.
Army here, 57. Love your reaction and how you both seem. I looked at the titles of your other reactions and I am interested in the conversation you are having in this space. Thank you. Made my day. You obviously will learn more on this journey as the rest of us have who have started before you. Enjoy. BTS has great messages too. People of all ages can relate. BTW, 45% or so are 30-49 yrs. per demographic research.
Metro Detroiter here! Just got recommended your channel. Also, in my 30's and am ARMY. I'm sure others have said "naega" means "I" and "niga" mean "You" in Korean. So glad you're learning about them. Their concerts are amazing! I was fortunate enough to see them at Rose Bowl last year and I've seen some of the biggest artists in the world and their concert was easily the best I've been to. K-Pop groups can actually be bigger than this. You'll be surprised just how welcoming ARMY can be. 👩🏾
I’m a 50yo mother of a teenager. I’m so excited to see an educator actively getting to know what today’s kids are interested in. I fell down the BTS rabbit hole a few months ago during a dark period when quarantine was getting to me. I can’t believe how much their videos, personalities and message has lifted my spirits!! I’ll be sure to watch more of your channel and I hope you watch more BTS. Start with This is BTS by xceleste. Thanks!
I think they deciding on this 7 members is because all of them bring something unique to the table , Jimin’s elegance when dancing, Jhope sharpness with every step, Jungkook’s stability and power to perform, Suga’s producing skills, Jin’s honey voice and honey face, V’s soulful tone when he sings, RM’s genius lyrics and I’m just mentioning one thing for each
I love how wholesome and calm this reaction is. Thank you for checking out BTS. I like that tidbit that Chalfant as the principal, hangs out and gets to know the school kids. I see you have a couple more videos for me to watch... heading there now. Please continue your journey as this first video was enjoyable.
Thanks, JK! It really is great to see a group who can provide to both adults and kids in such meaningful ways. More to come from us and new BTS on Monday!
there was a moment were the black guy (lmao sorry idk ur names) made a reference to chicken noodle soup when Jhope was singing, which is funny bc he actually did a remix to the song
@@BrothersFromAnotherColor Yes, please check out Chicken Noodle Soup! And any of the recent Tonight Show performances (they were on for a week) they all have english subtitles as well!
this is not just a remix, he bought the rights to this song for $ 2.7 million, + paid Becky (I don’t remember exactly how much) + according to logical calculations for shooting a video (flights, paying for everything) - + $ 1-2 million
Thanks to YT for suggesting this--it's pretty perfect for me! BTS is the only thing getting me through this anxiety-filled time in the US. I am very politically active but can't listen to any news right now or I might break. I'm also an elementary school librarian who works very hard on equity/diversity issues so you guys are pretty much tailor-made for me 💜 I'm looking forward to making my way through your videos and also watchng you discover BTS. For me, it's the lyrics that focus on social issues, mental health, and self-empowerment that make them an important part of my life. I listen to Not Today every morning before I go into work. "All the underdogs in the world A day may come when we lose But it is not today Today we fight!"
BTS is the biggest group in the world right now. BTS stands for Bangtan Sonyeondan in korean which translates to bulletproof boy scouts in english. They debuted in 2013 and consists of 7 members (3 rappers and 4 vocalists). Jin age 27 vocalist, Suga age 27 rapper, J-Hope age 26 rapper, RM age 26 rapper, Jimin age 25 vocalist, V age 24 vocalist, and Jungkook age 23 vocalist. 7 is actually an average number for a group in South Korea. There are groups that have more Twice has 9, Seventeen has 13, and NCT has 23. BTS was formed by bighit entertainment and was actually a small almost bankrupt company at one point. RM was the first member added in 2010 and over the next 2 years the other 6 were added. Trust me all BTS members are important to the group and 7 doesn't seem a lot after awhile. They have had 4 number 1 albums in the US (3 in less than a year). BTS recently became only the 5th group ever to have the number 1 and number 2 spots on the billboard hot 100 at the same time. Their video for Dynamite (their first fully english song) broke the record for the most viewed video in 24 hours on youtube with 101.1 million views. Their music is very diverse with all different genres hiphop, rnb, pop, and edm. BTS music covers all topics mental health, self love, societal expectations, and so much more. BTS do not lip sync and they train for years to dance and sing at the same time. Their concerts are incredible and also their performances at award shows in South Korea really show what they can do as performers. In the US they don't get a lot of screentime so there is only so much they can show off. At the Melon Music Awards 2019 BTS got to perform a 37 minute set and it was amazing. They have the top 2 best selling albums of all time in South Korea. I could go on if you want to know more watch This is BTS, introduction to BTS pt.1 by xceleste. I would recommend watching BTS NPR tiny desk concert which shows off their voices. Some music videos I like are Fake Love, Mic Drop, On kinetic manifesto film ver. Boy With Luv, Dynamite, and Blood Sweat and Tears. I'm sorry I couldn't choose one. Thanks for reacting.

Since the pandemic they have done many remote live performances from South Korea. Apanman is actually a few years old but this is a recent remote performance for the Today show.. B4 pandemic they would have appeared live in studio. THEY DON'T LIP SYNC. This was live and they are amazing live! The size of the group is pretty common in kpop. KPOP is very different from the wests boy bands. There is so much to unpack about BTS and they really are amazing young men with huge hearts and monster talent. Yes, we are ARMY and we protect our boys the best we can. If you come to explore BTS with authenticity and from a place of genuine curiosity ARMY will welcome you.
Love your reaction! And the fact y’all trying to dance along too, please don’t let others tell you that you shouldn’t dance, if you feel it you feel it!
This song means that you don't have to have super powers to be a superhero, anpanman is the weakest superhero yet he uses his body which is made of bread to save starving people
Welcome to The ARMY and enjoy your journey down the rabbit hole. You can't listen to just one! Wanted to mention something that may lift an eyebrow... you will hear what may sound like the awful "n" word. In reality it is an innocent Korean. Explanation: Nega: pronounced as “neh-gah” it means “you” in korean. Niga: which is pronounced as “knee-gah” is the same thing as Nega but it’s the informal version of it that you’d usually use with your friends. in BTS fake love: “Nachseolda haneniga johahadeon naro byeonhan naega“ which translates to: “You say I’m unfamiliar, changed into the one you used to like” and the next line is: ”Anira hane Yejeone niga jal algo issdeon naega” which translates to: ”You say I’m not myself which you knew well
Check out their live Saturday Night Live performances - Boy With Luv and Mic Drop. Both were completely live and they wowed the audience and blew up Twitter!

Thanks for this reaction. Just found your channel due to the BTS content. This is one of their more chill choreo so I hope you check out more. And now you HAVE to check out JHope’s remake of Chicken Noodle Soup with Becky G. He paid the original artists a couple of million to use the hook and wanted to do it because of his love for the original song and the significance it had in forming his love for dance. Dance crew representing so many different ethnicities.... BTS always love showing love and respect for diversity and the genuine beauty of music as a whole.

It’s going to take some time for you guys to really delve into BTS properly. They’ve been a group since 2013 but didn’t get popular in America until 2017 when they attended the Billboard music awards and performed at the American Music Awards. They’ve won multiple awards in America and they may be nominated for a Grammy next month 🤞 They do different genres of music and their fanbase Army ranges in ages and race. They’ve been on all the late night talk shows and even Saturday Night Live (the iconic SNL!!). Their latest single is called Dynamite, it’s their first all English song. It debuted at #1 on the Billboard hot 100 charts at end of August and was in that position for 3 weeks. It’s also been at #2 and now #5. You may have heard it on the radio. They’re releasing a new album called BE on November 20 if you’re interested. The tonight show had BTS week recently - You should really check out all 5 performances. They’re much better than the Anpanman performance they did for the Today show. Enjoy!

ARMY here and im 52...just love their wholesomeness and positivity in life which they share with everyone. They're just like my kids to me..love them.
Thank you!! We look forward to continuing the discussions that need to be had, but to also learn more about BTS!
His name is Trale! What an awesome coincidence. I guess we have to check it out now. Be sure to check out our other episodes, too!
@@flygray7326 Bianca is the name of the artist who was paid. He also paid the other writers of the original CNS.
OMG THIS IS SOOOO GREAT and FUNNY!!!! Especially your intro!!!
They sing live,3 rappers 4 vocals.. great performers.. watch tiny desk concert.. and watch all their live performance and dance practices..
I got to know about BTS from my children too. Now I'm a proud army
Thanks to YT for suggesting this--it's pretty perfect for me!
BTS is the only thing getting me through this anxiety-filled time in the US. I am very politically active but can't listen to any news right now or I might break.
I'm also an elementary school librarian who works very hard on equity/diversity issues so you guys are pretty much tailor-made for me 💜
I'm looking forward to making my way through your videos and also watchng you discover BTS. For me, it's the lyrics that focus on social issues, mental health, and self-empowerment that make them an important part of my life.
I listen to Not Today every morning before I go into work.
"All the underdogs in the world
A day may come when we lose
But it is not today
Today we fight!"
I'm a teacher and a MARMY. (Mother of an ARMY) I love BTS too!
trale’s dance and smile is so contagious lol this channel is my new fave!
Thanks, Jennifer. This is very helpful and SUPER informative. Thank you for taking the time to comment and be sure to check out our other episodes that cover a wide range of topics and you can get to know us: Chalfant & Trale! More to come.
Another ARMY just subscribed to your channel. Can’t wait to see more of BTS reaction. Thank you for looking up the lyrics first before reacting. Their lyrics are so powerful and such a comfort for so many of us
Thanks, Dwan! More BTS coming on Monday!
This is one of favorite songs. BTS always gives a part of themselves to encourage us. Love your dancing! Be yourselves 😁

I really love your reactions!! IT is soooo cool that you are a teacher and listened to your student and took the initiative to look them up. I bet your student is so happy that you are doing reactions to BTS. Keep up the great job and I look forward to seeing more of your reactions.

I used to wrestle with Beat the Streets a few years ago in high school! Such an amazing organization
🙌🏼🤜🏼🤛🏾

Proud BTS Army here!💜 They do not lip sync. They do sing live while dancing. Hard work and a lot of training to be able to sing and dance live. They mentioned 7 is lucky number. 7 members and 7years.
Great reaction!! I would love for you to continue reacting to them!! They have such a diverse and versatile discography. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!
I don’t think so, either! Their vibe is a very cool one. Thanks for checking us out, Shena. Be sure to check out our other episodes which cover a wide range of topics and you can get to know us better (Chalfant & Trale)!

It’s all about the love man, you show our boys some listen without prejudice and Army will love ya 💜
Yes that was live show... 💜💜💜💜
You use naega 내가 when you are referring to yourself in the sentence, kind of like (I am)
Makes a lot of sense now, Klarisse! Thanks for watching and be sure to check out our other episodes to get to know us (Chalfant & Trale)!
If you like the crowds and Anpanman, you have to check out their 2018 MAMA Fan’s Choice in Japan. Truly next level. It shows their stage presence, synergy, and humor
Thanks, Jill!
Im from Thailand. proud to be Army...💜💜💜 Hope you react more BTS.
More to come, Naris!
you guys definitely have to check out more of them!! they’re super versatile and talented!
Thank you! More to come for sure. Be sure to check out our other episodes which cover a wide range of topics and you can get to know us better (Chalfant & Trale)!
Aww your students knew, that's awesome! I LOVE BTS💜 BTS are 7 very, very talented young men. I love them so much!!!💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
ARMY are going to make you guys learn many things about BTS haha 🤣, so welcome to our education centre
Love your reaction! And the fact y’all trying to dance along too, please don’t let others tell you that you shouldn’t dance, if you feel it you feel it!
This was a cute first reaction guys. Funny how Trale mentioned Chicken Noodle Soup with Hobi since he did his own version lol.
I saw the Michigan football merch!!! Go blue btw~~ lol nice reaction
This song means that you don't have to have super powers to be a superhero, anpanman is the weakest superhero yet he uses his body which is made of bread to save starving people
You guys in a kid's playroom? Cze everything is freaking adorable 😂
😂😂😂😂😂 don’t tell anyone
Kpop has notoriously large groups - 7, 9, 12, 13, 23
Thank you for giving BTS a look and for your great reaction. I have subscribed and look forward to your next reaction to BTS. 💜
Thanks, JC! More to come from us.
I really like your reactions. Idk y'all seem like really nice people xD
Welcome to The ARMY and enjoy your journey down the rabbit hole. You can't listen to just one!
Wanted to mention something that may lift an eyebrow... you will hear what may sound like the awful "n" word. In reality it is an innocent Korean. Explanation:
Nega: pronounced as “neh-gah”
it means “you” in korean.
Niga: which is pronounced as “knee-gah” is the same thing as Nega but it’s the informal version of it that you’d usually use with your friends.
in BTS fake love: “Nachseolda haneniga johahadeon naro byeonhan naega“
which translates to: “You say I’m unfamiliar, changed into the one you used to like”
and the next line is: ”Anira hane
Yejeone niga jal algo issdeon naega”
which translates to: ”You say I’m not myself which you knew well
You should be proud of your young students are learning Korean lyrics, they do well and even learn to translate to english
Love the dancing!!!
Check out their live Saturday Night Live performances - Boy With Luv and Mic Drop. Both were completely live and they wowed the audience and blew up Twitter!
Subscribed and did all the whatnots today😊 One of your videos was recommended by YT to me, I clicked and looked into your channel, sorted the videos from oldest, and I like the content..ngl though I'm here for BTS reactions because I'm 32 year old ARMY, been one since 2015, and I love to hear more BTS reactions from you.😊 Don't worry, ARMYs go easy on reactors, unless the boys get disrespected, so welcome!😊
Thanks, CP! We will DEFINITELY check it out.
@@BrothersFromAnotherColor Thanks! MV here: ruclips.net/video/i23NEQEFpgQ/видео.html and the "behind the scenes" clip with english subs here: ruclips.net/video/4pptmcRhj9s/видео.html
Enjoy!
Really like you looked up what Anpanman was for yourself. More recent live performances suggest Home & Idol on Jimmy Fallen. Music videos: ON- Kinetic Manifesto
Four Brothers was a good movie
Thanks, CF! Added to our future list!
I also was inteoduced to BTS by one of my students back in 2016.. Now I'm a certified Army on my own, and been following them and their career since, and not planning to quit any time soon.. One of the best decisions in my life, and the whole community is awesome. I met some of my best friends thanks to them.. So you're welcome to join us 😁 Let's appreciate their work and art together 💜
Better late than never! BTS has some VERY catchy songs. I guess the question is: How many times have you listened to this since you first heard it??
Downloaded it that night and it has been in rotation ever since!
This actually isnt a song from 2020, its a song from their previous album 😊
Thanks, Tang! Learning as we go!
Glad u like the song. We welcome all new comers to know better about the boyz.we welcome those with open minded. You will often hear ARMY love them because they have the whole package..music,personality ,positivity they bring to society, etc.hope to see more reactions from u guys...Borahae💜

BTS is good live because they practice HARD! Like 16 hours a day! Generally, kpop artists are hardworkers!🙂

Thank you! We'll be on the look out for it. Be sure to check out our other BTS reactions, too.
Another A.R.M.Y. in the house...just wanted to know, cause I got tired of scrolling the comments, if anybody else giggled at the fact one of them coincidentally has a Beatles shirt on the 1ST time they are learning about the "Beatles" of the 21st century? 🧐🤣💜♾️
Loves ur reaction🤗
Have we gain 2 dads army here? you're greatttt
Yes you have lol
Talking about SNK, you guys can watch the two performance that they did there. The songs are call “Mic Drop” and “Boy with Luv”.
I am so glad you found BTS!!
Great reaction. 💜
I WAS SO ANXIOUS THAT YOU’D MISUNDERSTAND “NAEGA” 🥺🥺🥺🥺 It means I am😞😞
No worries, Zeo! Glad to hear it had a different meaning!
please react to all of their music videos and stage performances. you'll love them. you can start with mic drop. that's a good one
Thanks for playlist 💜🤗
Enjoy!
Thanks, AF! There's so much more to be learned with BTS and we appreciate your insight! Be sure to check out our other episodes on a wide range of topics, but more so getting to know us (Chalfant & Trale).
Thank you.
Hi! Loved your reaction👍🏻👏 💜
Waiting for more😊
Stay healthy and happy everyone #BTSARMY #Loveall7
