I have a theory that Mirabel and her Grandmother don't have a very good relationship as Mirabel has no powers. But I think Mirabel has a power to see the true side of anyone. That 's why she was the only one who befriended Bruno that he wasn't trouble
What I love is that the magical talents are so realistic that Mabel would also find easily her own magical talent in this movie. There is healing, dealing with flowers, special connection to animals; even special hearing abilities and keeping the balance or being strong (as a girl: wow, how modern!). I love the broader idea of gift just like in the original book franchise of Disney Fairies (with Prilla!), before they decided to focus on making the Four seasons (in the movies).
@@prowolf633 I would agree that she probably would not find a "magical" talent, but I would hope that she finds out that she is unique nevertheless and what she does is important, and her "talent" could be bringing magic back and healing a certain "crack"; just like Prilla found out that she had no magical talent, neither water, light, gardening nor animals, but she was unique in saving Neverland because she could contact mainland children and inspired them to believe in fairies.

This is the first time emphasis is placed on a set of triplets since Huey, Dewey and Louie. And I am here for it! So super-hearing girl can tell you EXACTLY when her siblings were conceived. Sounds more like a curse to me.
@@piscarius1 very minor spoiler There’s a scene in the movie where Dolores says she could hear one of the sisters’ eye twitching all night. I don’t think she can turn it off. Her power definitely sounds like a curse. Hopefully she has some really dense earmuffs or a way to drown out the sound.
I do not think Bruno is the cause of whatever is happening to the magic or the house! I feel it’s someone else that Bruno tried to warn the family about, but they brushed him off

I can't get enough of this movie! I am from Colombia and one of the characters IS MY MOM!! Every time I get sick and have to go to the doctor she tells me I'm being silly and all those antibiotics are going to hurt me. She doesn't magically heal you with bunuelos or arepa de queso: she gives you infusions: chamomille, spearmint, and melissa infusions, insisting they will heal you. One of her brothers is an oncologist, and I told him they day I should ever be diagnosed with cancer my mother will tell me not to take the chemo because she can heal it with chamomile water! I can so relate to these characters: this movie is so beautiful!

Can you imagine everyone freaking out because they’re losing their gift. then you have Dolores who is like, “this is the first time I haven’t had a headache in over 10 years this is amazing!!”
In my opinion here’s the powers ranked from most powerful to least, in an everyday situation. 1.Antonio. Communication with animals, absolutely fantastic power, all the animals are on his side and they live in a jungle. 2.Isabella. With that many plants to pick from, this nearly is as powerful as having animals. She could summon anything out of anywhere! 3.Luisa. Welp, I guess pure strength is really powerful, normally, she would crush animals and plants like nothing, but if there’s too many I don’t think she can handle it 4.Camilo. Shapeshifting is…amazing. Sadly he can only shift into people, not any living being, or he would be at the top. Still powerful 5. Bruno. Seeing the future, you might argue is really powerful and he should be at the top, but he needs a wide open space and time to see visions. 6.Pepa. Powerful, but uncontrollable. Rain clouds come out of nowhere when she’s unhappy, and that doesn’t help with everyday life. 7.Julieta?(Mirabel’s mother) Honestly I don’t think many people get hurt apart from mirabel’s cut on the hand, and we don’t get to see much of her power. But like, why didn’t she heal Mariano’s nose or something
My Theory on Camilo Madrigal With a slow trend of more well portrayed lgbt+ characters making there way onto disney’s big screen this past year I have been hoping for a while that Encanto might continue the trend. It has not reported that it will have any lgbt characters, however that doesn’t mean there aren’t any and if I were to put my money it would be on Camilo, the second youngest of the Madrigal cousins. Each character’s powers seem to relate to a personality trait, the one with super hearing is shy/quite, the one with healing food is nurturing, but along with their powers of shape-shifting Camilo who “doesn't quite know who they are yet”, not knowing who you are isn’t a personality trait, it is goal or journey. From both the trailer and the promotional door picture we see that Camilo has turned into both men and women, and although I don’t want to fall into that stereotype of shape-shifters being non-binary, it would be interesting for disney to introduce there first non-cis, non-adult lgbt+ film character. I don’t think it necessarily has to fall under that exact stereotype however. Non-binary shape-shifter such as Double Trouble and the genderqueer Charlie from Legends are implied to having been changing shape since they were really little and might not have a set biological gender, where as Camilo is amab and is referred to as such up until the time the movie takes place. It would be really cool to see character who can shape-shift into male and female slowly realize they are neither, to spend the film turning into others only to figure out who they truly are.
I have a theory about why mirabelle did not get a gift the theory is that if you look when she gets her gift in the movie she touches the candle then mirabelle looks at the abuela and then she goes to touch the door but just before she touches the door she wipes her hands on her dress and then she touches the door and that's my theory of why I think mirabelle did not get a gift
