This 87 Vikings team was one of my favorites of all time they were so sneaky good. Good O line and loved all the playmakers especially AC. Both quarterbacks were good you had Steve Jordan and Joey Browner two bad asses out there. You got a glimpse of how good they were going to be later in the playoffs in this game.

Yeah, this may have been the best Thanksgiving day game that I can recall in the nearly 40 years plus of watching them that I have this was an absolute classic game with playoff implications on both sides Not to mention Pat Summerall and John Madden. Oh, how I miss them.

We lived in Duluth! And we loved listening and watching the Vikings especially in the late 90s

1987 has always been my favorite in the 52 years I have followed this team. It was also my rookie year as a Police Officer. My first Sgt. shamed me into a bet in the first round of the playoffs. $20 the Saints would kill the Vikings, then double or nothing on the 9ers, LOL

This game was a lot of fun. It was also most likely the sloppiest game ever between the Vikings and Cowboys.

I remember the strike team almost buried them starting out 0-4, or 0-3.

I miss the time when my Vikings had a quality defense! Past few years have been the worst in franchise history.

Ole cluck nelson almost lost it for them, probably would've choked if he had kick another FG , how many times do u c a defense get 7sacks & still allowed 38pts ? That defense shortly afterwards was one of there best they ever had

Another great game featuring the all-time legend of Pat Summerall...RUINED AND RENDERED UNWATCHABLE because of that obnoxious overrated lardass ogre Madden.

Right. His antics and nonsense got worse as the years went by. Feeding into the caricature that Fox made him out to be.

Cowboys losing this game really hurt their playoff chances.

If there was a 3rd WC in 1987, Dallas actually would have made the playoffs even losing this game

The losses to Detroit and Atlanta hurt more.
