That's what I'm thinking. My dad owns two places, his and my deceased grandparent's house. He moved into theirs and "abandoned" his. He visits it almost daily though. So not really abandoned. I'm thinking this surely isn't actually abandoned. It's just maybe not currently lived in. Why would anyone leave all of that stuff and not sell it if they weren't coming back for it or planning on handling it at some point? It doesn't make sense.

Can't wait for this one , I lived in Portugal for 7 years and I missed so much when I look back !! Love from The Netherlands ! Wow just watch the video , and I now where it is and have been there when it was open still . It's closed down because of the money switch from Escudos to Euro's , so many places didn't survive that because the season is only 3/4 months to make your money and pay your staff etc. such a terrible waste !! THX so so much for this I really wanna go back there ! Hope you all gonna have the most wonderful time there and eat some : Frango Piri Piri after that you never return to the UK !!!

I luv how Jess so often gingerly sets a vause on a table and is so mindful to close drawers and cupboards ❤ I'm in Canada 🇨🇦 near Toronto and use to explore old homes. Back in the 90's before new home developments expoled thru rural areas there were lots to explore. My daughter and a few of her friends still talk about the old Victorian places we checked out. Now my 3 grandkids have their own memories of their nutty granny dragging them thru the few remaining old homes near us. It's fun living vicariously thru you two Safe travels!

How awful to view the destruction at the Disneyland mansion you recently visited. It is criminal and tragic for such workmanship to be destroyed.

That furniture is insane. Surely someone is planning to come back for it. The whole place is enchanting. It's devastating to see the mold in the ceiling of that one room. I hope someone saves this place from ruin. 😢 it's too beautiful.
On the subject of why things get trashed in England and not in Europe, you have to remember its wetter in the British Isles than just about anywhere in Europe, damp breeds decay in the form of rot and mould etc. Natural decay plays a much bigger part in Britain especially compared to Mediterranean nations with their dry atmospheres.
Amazing. I'm blown away with the carved wooden ceilings. It looked like only 1 room had any mold and I wonder if it was directly under the orange portion of the roof. This place should be reopened before much longer to preserve the wonderful things it holds. Great job you two.

Wow! I wonder if the fact that Portugal and many other European countries are still very religious may contribute to the low vandalism? Also, Portugal is a poorer country and people have to work hard. They are probably too exhausted to be destructive and have too much respect for expensive possessions. Really enjoyed this one. You know what would be an ultimate finish to this video would be you 2 over looking that river on the balcony and then a done flies over your heads filming everything you're looking at the does a 180°turn to view you then does another 180°turn back to the river and flies toward it zooming in on 2 people in a row boat until you two come into focus in the boat then does another 180° turn towards the balcony you're standing on overlooking the river. NOW THAT! WOULD BE ICONIC!

You know what would be an ultimate finish to this video would be you 2 over looking that river on the balcony and then a done flies over your heads filming everything you're looking at the does a 180°turn to view you then does another 180°turn back to the river and flies toward it zooming in on 2 people in a row boat until you two come into focus in the boat then does another 180° turn towards the balcony you're standing on overlooking the river. NOW THAT! WOULD BE ICONIC!
