Save for the last one's over the top-ness, the girls legitimately seem to be interested in Boimler. The first one is mildly disappointed, the second even wells up into tears, and there are a pair of them conversing with one another, happily talking to each other, laughing, and giving ol' Bradward the bedroom eyes as they do so (1:06). None of them seemed threatened by the presence of Mariner as a potential love interest, nor each others attempts (perhaps presuming that they're all equally doomed to fail). If they were all shallow gold diggers, only wanting a bit of Boimler's share of the family farm, they'd be trying to undercut each others efforts or (if they reached an agreement to be cordial with one another) showing some form of scorn for Mariner horning in on their turf. Personally, I think they all legitimately like him FOR him, find him attractive, and enjoy flirting with him. Boimler on the other hand, while he may be open to dating outside Star Fleet after Barbara, isn't interested in someone 'unintelligent' which means the farm hands purposefully vacuous dialogue is undermining their efforts. His reaction to the first one (rolling his eyes at 0:32) indicates that he knows what they're doing, he's just legitimately not interested.

In the most recent episode, season 3 episode 8, a filled-with-self-doubt Boimler says "I could've married Leanne!" Leanne being the last girl. So Boimler is definitely aware that they are all interested in him and serious about him romantically, he just can't bring himself to live on the raisin farm. Tragic!!!
The vineyard girls are probably so used to watching each other throw themselves at Bradward Boimler to the point that Beckett Mariner is not a threat, and the only thing Mariner wants from Boimler is help finding the evidence that will clear Freeman.

@@Rassilon001 Fairly sure Star Trek society runs on a credit system. The more you contribute, the more you're "worth". Having a stake in those Farms would increase your credit worth substantially. It pretty much sounds like using Money without actual Money.
@@MikMoen Ah, you assume they'd rather be the ones who own the place instead of work on it. Nothing wrong that, I suppose. And yeah, the 'rules' of the future seem to be a little vague. That, or Boimler is a catch, whether or not he realizes it. I mean he -is- hard working and diligent.
@@MikMoen There's no evidence of that. Families like the Picards and the Siskos probably have more influence just because they produce a physical commodity which can't just be replicated. But, nobody ever needs to buy anything on Earth, and people who still run vineyards and restaurants do so because they genuinely want to rather than because they want the income. They could leave at any time, their only ties are social rather than economic, and they stay because they want to. So it's probably easier for, say, a Picard to get into Starfleet Academy because they can get recommendations from community members more easily. But, with replicators in every dwelling, the only motivation to go for Starfleet is personal ambition, rather than a stable living. Social credit only exists inasmuch as community name recognition has always gotten you things, even in prehistoric civilizations.
@@MikMoen I'd bet if anyone wanted to, they could start a small farm immediately, and have the area grow over the years. If there aren't enough people who want to work there for the heck of it, they can probably automate some of the tasks. And the population of Earth isn't known, but I'd assume it's in the same ballpark as today, as there are so many habitable worlds to live on, but the prosperity cancels that out. Meaning that there would be space on Earth, as the population density could be managed much better, while maybe having similar numbers.
I personally think the series is saving Boimler for the sassy Vulkan girl who's going to join Starfleet. I can see them playing off of each other, seeing how he's so hysterically emotional and driven.
T'Lyn seems to be someone that would bring balance to Boimler. She is emotional for a Vulcan but compared to him she is the most controled person on the ship. Also she is vulcan like a motherfucker
You know, Michael Shanks was once asked why his character in Stargate would turn down a beautiful woman in his room while wearing a very seductive outfit, and he said that no sane man would do that, ever! Brad Boimler is clearly not a sane man!
Which is kind of funny considering how many times that happened to Daniel and the woman later turned out to be some evil alien. Fool me seven or eight more times...
Everyone giving my man crap but: A) they work for his family and his personal ethics probably make it so he wouldn't even consider crossing that line. B) He clearly states he hates it there. C) Looks don't count for crap when someone's just straight-up not your type. He's a Starfleet officer, "townies" probably bore or disgust him.
I like to think that Boimler is actually not oblivious to all the seduction. However, he has very strong ethics, like you said. Also, during the "fantasy" rock episode, we see that Boimler's fantasy is getting promoted and recognition for what he does. Being a raisin farmer probably isn't much in his books.
After the live action cameo in Discovery , if Boimler does have the appearance of Jack Quaid I wouldn’t blame these women for throwing themselves at him
Everyone is talking about how the girls want to get in Boimler's pants to inherit the farm, but are forgetting that in Star Trek the Earth/Humans have generally evolved past the seeking of wealth and greed. And these raisins are probably freely given away or simply traded in the local community.
I can’t believe that Boimler straight up denies all those beautiful girls, and he did had a girlfriend in one episode but unfortunately it was due to him having a parasite in his head
Could be that he sees dating an employee of the vineyard his parents own is an odd dynamic compared to dating someone in starfleet where they are only coworkers for a third party.
Carol Freeman has been accused of a crime so heinous that obtaining the exculpatory evidence is the only thing Beckett Mariner can think about in this scene.
Mariner only likes the 'bad' boys, girls, whatever, it's a shame. That's why I hope she and Jen aren't finished, it was a real chance of growth for both of them.
Boimler is definitely avoiding settling down on earth, likely joining starfleet to get away from having to work the family farm. But we've seen he's willing to have a relationship with a fellow starfleet officer, even if it was while under the influence of a parasite. So perhaps his problem isn't attracting women, it's just finding one that won't require he give up being in starfleet.
My theory is that he knows what they want his land and money, but our boy has eyes on the prize and is focused on himself hell yea 🤘 Chad in training lil by lil don't you think 🤔
There is no money in the future on Earth. And land is giving out evenly so none of that even makes sense they just really are into him. It's shown later in the season that a bunch of girls on the ship are also into him.
Boimler is from an idyllic wine country that anyone would want to live in but is under challenged, but who can blame him he’s Starfleet it’s got to be hard yo come back from
There is a scene later in the show where some girls from Cerritos actually gush about how attractive Boimler is. So I think there is a specific type of girls that are really into him, but they aren't *his* type so he doesn't really acknowledge them.
I love the implication that Brad hates raisins so much, he either doesn’t see or doesn’t care that all these beautiful women are throwing themselves at him.

Leean I think got a name drop in S3 ep 8.
She did. Boimler was talking about settling down with her.
If you want to ruin the joke, every one of those girls could be gold diggers. They would all know he's an heir to the family business, and want a bigger piece than just being a farm hand.
Jokes on them… there’s no money in the future!
Boimler x t’lyn is wildin, however boimler x Cerritos buzzard collector is better
You know, Michael Shanks was once asked why his character in Stargate would turn down a beautiful woman in his room while wearing a very seductive outfit, and he said that no sane man would do that, ever!
Brad Boimler is clearly not a sane man!
Starfleet is no place for the sane
Which is kind of funny considering how many times that happened to Daniel and the woman later turned out to be some evil alien. Fool me seven or eight more times...
"I should've stayed a raisin farmer, I could've married Lianne..." (passes out)
He's a smart man, he knows those women are throwing at him because they want him for his inheritance.
Everyone giving my man crap but:
A) they work for his family and his personal ethics probably make it so he wouldn't even consider crossing that line.
Like how Boimler admits he couldve married Lian in Season 3 ep. 8...though it could be because he suffered from dehydration and heatstroke.
After the live action cameo in Discovery , if Boimler does have the appearance of Jack Quaid I wouldn’t blame these women for throwing themselves at him
Mariner with the baffled WTF look at all the girls coming onto Boimler lol.
I like to think Boimler is weirdly respectful of women, and that’s why he doesn’t notice that they’re throwing themselves at him
Brads a true sigma
Everyone is talking about how the girls want to get in Boimler's pants to inherit the farm, but are forgetting that in Star Trek the Earth/Humans have generally evolved past the seeking of wealth and greed. And these raisins are probably freely given away or simply traded in the local community.
This feels criminal. 😢
Leanne is just trying too hard. 😂
How have I never heard of this show it looks fire
Lower Decks is so cool.🖖
Yo Boimler is a ladiesman, but hes only love is starfleet.
Just sparay off with the hose Leanne 😂☠️
"Wanna test the sweetness of my bushel?" is such a low key dirty phrase.
That's his *families* vineyard. Those girls are probably all his relatives.
That raises further questions!
I'm pretty sure even family owned farms and vineyards have non relative employees and workers
The rampant nymphomania really undercut the Holodeck industry
We all can take biomler's place in vineyard for a bit, if he don't mind 😉👍
My guess is that Brad must genuinely see them all as Sisters.
At least Boimler has a fallback/retirement option after starfleet (and if he wanted he could covert into wines)
I get why Boimler wouldnt want to stay at home. You get to grow grapes...but not for wine
When you train men to ignore signs, they tend to ignore signs. Also I think Boimler likes assertive women.
They could have been golddiggers, but that doesn't explain why all Jennifer's friends fancy him...
Gold diggers? The Federation doesn't use money.
Maybe some of them saw the same Naked Time simulation Mariner did and want a piece of that action 👀😮
Have you ever discussed this show in a forum? Women love a guy like Boimler.
Bro , Bradward is so fucking adorable and sweet , the fact that the Women throwing themselves at him are of his home town is crazy .
He is more dense than every high school anime character
Denser than Any Blackhole in Universe
I swear it’s funny how May of those women throw them selves at him
To be fair this typical guy logic a women can drop hints heavier than a bowling ball and a guy can still miss them by a mile.
Haha, the gurl in the yellow dress at the end is smirking at Leanne
Man has more will power than I do.
Love this show :D
Boimler acting like your average anime protagonist.
Boimler is as dense and oblivious as your average anime MC.
I can’t believe that Boimler straight up denies all those beautiful girls, and he did had a girlfriend in one episode but unfortunately it was due to him having a parasite in his head
Boimler most definitely on the spectrum, not Barclay level naturally.
all the warp core four have some level of autistic swag and Mariner definitely has ADHD
Are you Duckin kidding me?
There is NO WAY YOUR THAT OBLIVIOUS!
Your just Duckin with me.
I heard he actually DOES know what they're after. He just doesn't want to settle down on Earth away from Star Fleet
Bro got rizz and he not even trying
Could be that he sees dating an employee of the vineyard his parents own is an odd dynamic compared to dating someone in starfleet where they are only coworkers for a third party.
GOD FUCKING DAMNIT BRADWARD! Mariner! Why aren't you saying anything? You're supposed to be his friend! Be a wingwoman, damnit!
To be fair, she had biggest worries at the moment than Boimler's sex life.
I'm not only sad that Brad misses all those girls throwing themselves at him, I'm also sad that Mariner doesn't seem to notice it.
She notices, she just focused on clearing her mom's name
All of the pleasures of earth are nothing to serving in Starfleet
the amount of cockblock the writers came up for boimler will never not be funny/sad/infuriating/nail-biter. i hope he get a solid win next season
He’s an ace king
Just spray it off with a hose, Leanne.
I don't know if he meant it, but Boimler sounded like he was telling her to go take a cold shower.😂
To be fair, farmer’s lung is a thing. Granted in Star Trek they probably have treatments for such but still
Boimler is definitely avoiding settling down on earth, likely joining starfleet to get away from having to work the family farm. But we've seen he's willing to have a relationship with a fellow starfleet officer, even if it was while under the influence of a parasite. So perhaps his problem isn't attracting women, it's just finding one that won't require he give up being in starfleet.
I'm surprise Mariner is not questioning why all these hot babes are going crazy over Boimler
At first I was like: who is this weirdo with... PURPLE HAIR now its grown on me
Boimlers looks and sounds like Ben Schwartz
My theory is that he knows what they want his land and money, but our boy has eyes on the prize and is focused on himself hell yea 🤘 Chad in training lil by lil don't you think 🤔
There is no money in the future on Earth. And land is giving out evenly so none of that even makes sense they just really are into him. It's shown later in the season that a bunch of girls on the ship are also into him.
@@badman3000 Wait but if land is given out evenly would't you run out of land eventually?
LeAnn literally just tries to be less metaphoric about it lmao
I love this show 😂😂
Boimler is from an idyllic wine country that anyone would want to live in but is under challenged, but who can blame him he’s Starfleet it’s got to be hard yo come back from
"Rasin groupies are the most voracious and insatiable of all groupies"
There is a scene later in the show where some girls from Cerritos actually gush about how attractive Boimler is. So I think there is a specific type of girls that are really into him, but they aren't *his* type so he doesn't really acknowledge them.
They’re just after that Boimler Raisin fortune. 😝
"Only in death does the vineyards end"
