.....& he helped to write the music in Jane’s Addiction. But im old lol so yeah he’s not too edgy anymore but back in the day, those guys were beyond everything happening. Unbelievably good & unique for that era.

Had a chance to meet Dave at a coffee shop in Santa Barbara (Muddy Waters). He was playing in Spirit in the sky, with Billy Corgan and a talented young drummer. He was so down to earth and approachable. Glad to see he's doing well. Double glad to see him on my favorite podcast. You guys rock!

Great podcast. Dave was surprisingly entertaining and funny. Strongest podcast show in awhile. Last 2-4 previous shows there was a little effort on my part just to sit all the way through til the end. This show with Dave was so good that I wanted another 30 minutes or another hour to listen to all of you talk, laugh, joke, and have fun with whatever topic comes up or wherever the conversation leads to. THX

I think you should record ads afterwards and then edit them in throughout episode. Otherwise, it breaks the flow and the guest can get distracted. After you come back from a "commercial break" the theme often is not about what you talked about previously but either talking about the product or shifting the subject completely.

When Theo was on tiger belly last he got involved in the ad and it was pretty funny.

They did that on older episodes but the editing sucked and people complained and said to do it like this...

One thing Bobby Lee has over Rogan is how he can invite these big time celebrities and he speaks to them as if they were long time friends. Rogan is a bit more distant from his guests. Edit: I love Rogan though. One of my favorite podcasters.
Bobby has insecurities but they're just presented definitely. Joe's just present them as macho meathead bullshit.

and also the ONLY time Rogan has ever made me laugh is when he doesn't mean to. he gets a little too high and gets a little too goofy, and that can be funny. but those moments are so few and far between. I laugh constantly through every tigerbelly episode.
yeah his whole standup thing really bothers me. it's obviously such a huge part of his identity but he's just not that funny to me. you nailed it w/ his 'louder is funnier' thing. I watched his podcast for a while and enjoyed it, so I decided to give one of his specials a chance. couldn't stand the screaming for longer than a few minutes before i turned it off.
Dave is a nice guy, my music teacher's guitar was stolen and he sent him a brand new one!!

What a great podcast. Never knew Dave Navarro was like this. Dave gave perfect advice at the end too. Struggling with identity issues are common for children of immigrants. Embrace that you are different and have more to offer than the standard experience. I would also recommend to visiting your parents' home country for an extended period if possible. For me it changed my perspective and I've stopped having any identity issues afterwards.
This was the perfect episode. I was in a state of euphoria throughout the whole thing, then was at the brink of wetting my cheeks as the outro rolled.

This is probably 1 of the best tigerbelly episodes to date.
Great podcast, one of the best guests ever, very intelligent, funny, interesting dude with interesting thoughts.
FUN FACT: They used to have bells attached to a string tied to peoples fingers when buried sometimes, just in case they were buried alive. If they came out of the state where they appeared dead and found they were in a coffin ,they would furiously begin flailing and the bell would ring....hence the term "dead ringer".
I still think one hot minute is a great album Dave. Great guest.
Dave's sense of humor reminds of Theo von, the way he says things in serious but joking matter. Does a good job at ink master as well which reminds I have to finish watching last season.
