You will see many gas stations on road trips.
Basing my math on the worse end of the mpg’s for this Hellcat, a trip from WA state to Arizona (I have family in both), I would have to fill up 6 times. With the tank size (from almost empty to full, and the average gas prices between the multiple states), that would cost me $515+ (one way) 😖 But hey, you pay to play with an engine like that.

At the end of the day, the name of the game here is a “modern twist to old-school” muscle car. There’s a lot in this vehicle that looks cheap, and out dated, but then you mix in the refresh stuff and some newer infotainment stuff. It’s a muscle car first, and “luxury” second. People know what they are getting into. That’s why I pre-ordered one, cause I don’t mind all that stuff. I’m a little more old school anyways, so in a weird way, I kinda like some of the cheaper concepts lol I’m here for the drive experience, and to drive around my growing family. That’s it 👍

I have noticed in a lot of reviews for the Durango Hellcat that no one has shown the black key, or the option to lock the vehicle to 500hp through the infotainment, like every other Hellcat vehicle. I forgot to ask my dealership, but to be honest, I knew more about the vehicle then they did when I went in to pre-order, it seemed lol Anyways, is that still a feature here? You would think it would be, considering the Durango is the most family oriented, and there will most likely be multiple drivers.

I have an AWD Stinger and also would love one of these.I do have the money--not rich--but I could buy one--but am frugal and would also have to win the lottery.Gas mileage is awful and these require premium fuel.I am not quite a millionaire and would not get one unless I had that in the bank,I have 2020 stinger money and will just enjoy what I have.I would get the trackhawk though.

It’s not that it’s plastic. Pretty much every automaker uses plastic. The issue is the quality of plastic used. Dodge/Jeep/RAM/Chrysler use the worst quality plastics for their window switches and rear view mirrors.
One at my dealer is $109k+. All the cheap plastic and Chrysler parts bin switchgear is disappointing. You could get into something better built for that money. A Hellcat is amazing, but there's got to be more to the Durango for six figures.
Minor correction. The paddle shifters are made of aluminum, not (as you state) "cheap plastic". But your major objections are well-taken.

@@MilesPerHr Shake it off. Your channel is very entertaining. I retrofitted the taller SRT paddles to my R/T's steering wheel. That's how I know the tabs are made of aluminum.

You buy this truck for one reason and one reason only. I’ve never owned a Dodge. My car of choice is Mercedes AMG and they’ve been my last three cars besides a Range Rover in the middle but I am having fun with this car. The fit and finish is nowhere the same but I knew that going in to be totally honest not this January but last January my birthday was coming up in August August my 50th birthday, so in January I googled fastest production truck and this came up. I had no idea of hellcats or anything dodge so I made an appointment for April 4, I ended up going to Ford Dodge dealers that day and the last one I went to had the cheapest markup plus they had what I wanted in stock. The other few didn’t even have one in stock yet and they were talking in 25 over the cheapest I got was 15 over and the dealership I ended up buying it from I only paid eight over but I went home with it that day April 4. We did all the paperwork we were there till the place closed but at least I got it home that day. This April 4 will make one year I have it and I don’t regret it one bit it’s roomy it’s comfortable do I miss my massage seats or my soft closed doors or my 360 camera at first I did but not anymore. And it’s only a car not sure how long I will keep it. I may use it a few years then put it away and keep it as a collectible, or I may not, not 100% sure.

I have a 2016 citadel with 5.7 hemi and I am suffering from the gas consumption I average 14L/100 km (20mpg) and I am thinking of trading it of. 11 mpg (or 13 average) is just ridiculous even if you have cheap gas price
Dodge really need to add cylinder deactivation to at least improve MPG during highway stretches
@@MilesPerHr They have it already from 2006 I believe they call it Multi-Displacement System (MDS) but it works till 100k/r only and I don't notice it really saving that much gas.
Also the AC is no where near the AC in toyota cars (not cold enough in summer) that is why I am thinking of buying hybrid highlander
Ah I see. The Highlander Hybrid was pretty darn impressive (I reviewed it a few months ago). If you’re looking to save gas, that’s a great option. Otherwise, I’m a big fan of the Kia Telluride
@@ammooorit dude your nuts! I own a Durango Hellcat, A Charger Hellcat and a Toyota Tundra and i had a Durango SRT and i live i hot muggy Florida. The Hellcats have insane cold air AC. My Toyota is cold too but the Hellcats are a lot colder.

now if I'm not mistaken miles per hour is based out of California or the West Coast somewhere. just know that the leaders in design styling trends are no longer based in this liberal hotspot. You're going to be getting more conservative designs going forward as America continues to set the trend it is going to be from Southern and Midwestern states. so whilst you might want 24-in rims on a vehicle that is supposed to be a Swiss army knife the rest of the sensible people of this country are going to be more pleased by less flare in the wheel arches and 20" wheels which will serve a design purpose without destroying all functions and hindering performance. going forward in the auto industry as well as other industries that involve design I believe that a more conservative approach will continue to be necessary, this echoes the politics as well as the

I had to stop watching your review. Got tired of your “cheap plastic” comments. I have test driven many vehicles and the Durango’s plastics are actually better than those fiound in other vehicles. Also, one of the reasons plastics are used on lower halves of doors is for durability. Look in a Rav 4 and the new Tundra…. Cheap plastic everywhere.
